Title: Colorblindness
Post by: Razor X on August 27, 2008, 07:25:38 PM
This very odd (and somewhat creepy) album cover was being discussed in a country music forum today.  Apparently the letters are done in a colorblindness test pattern.   Can you see the green in it?

What green?

Oh Yeah....That's why the Army reclassified my MOS from field artillery to unit and warehouse supply.

Seriously Razor, I honestly don't see any green.  A slight shade of gray, that's it.

I don't see it either.  I took one of those colorblindness tests when I was in  high school -- the ones with the dots arranged in circles with a number pattern inside -- and wasn't able to see the number on some of them.  Yet, I am able to distinguish between colors.

I've had several colorblind test and gotten through them all with flying colors.  Interesting

Same here, I had a color blind test every year as part of my flight physical and could always see all the numbers/figures.  I don't see any green here, though.

Maybe it's just a hoax.  The person who posted it may have been trying to freak people out when they couldn't see the green.

I'm sure it's a hoax.  I had a color blindness test two weeks ago and I don't see any green.

There are some interesting tests on this site.  I didn't do well on about half of them. :(

It's got to be a ho-ax! I clicked on the link and passed everyone of the tests.

I see the green...seriously.  Easiest place to see them is on the A of womack... second row of dots down from the top.  You see a large dot then a smaller one ( that one is green) larger dot then smaller dot( green also) then a larger dot.  Seriously I see green in there but not in all the letters.

They are in all the A's

I see the smaller dots, but can't tell if they're green or not.

The color generation on your monitor could be causing the color differential....Color blindness test should be done from a print pattern and not a computer generated one....... O0

I've got a friend who is colour blind.  He sent me this as an illustration of how he sees things

http://tsi.enst.fr/~brettel/DaltonDemo/DD08.html

He says "When I click on the Protan I see hardly any difference - I 'think' this is what I 'normally' see.  Of even more strangeness - I see a large difference between Protan and Deutan."

That's really interesting.  I have always wondered what color blind people see.

Thanks for passing that on.

Timmay! You need to lay off whatever you're drinking or smoking or give me some  ;) cause there's no green dots in that album cover.

Sounds like the power of persuasion is taking control.  Don't see any green dots here.

I have a $500 high performance monitor [ruling out the monitor theory] and I do not see any green
