I noticed my wardrobe consists of about 80% golf attire. Long sleeve, short sleeve, pull overs, etc...
While I look okay, it's not quite doing it for me. At the beach this past weekend I had to buy a hoodie and really liked how it looked.
Anyway... what's the best look for a shaved head? Jeans, tee and hoodie? Button downs and dockers?
Comments please.
-
dress code-whatever you are comfy in. Golf attire for me: army shores and always a white lacoste shirt. I dont know why.
-
I find that nice fitting tshirt and jeans works well with the shaved head. It's also nice because i can get away with wearing that at work.
But like Marty said, whatever is most comfortable for you.
-
bald goes with pretty much anything
if you dress trendy it makes you look hip
if you dress up it makes you look like a bigshot
love it
-
whatever that looks and feels nice O0

The Sly look goes great with anything............except rugs and plugs. ;)
-
I like a pair of classic straight leg jeans, usually black, and pullover tees with a little bit shorter than normal sleeves so my tattoos show a bit.

I like a nice white T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops for the weekend. except for church obviously.
Nice jeans or khakis and a pull over or button down shirt works well. That's the beauty of SLY - it goes with anything
-
Here's one:
-
Agreed, the white T does go well with sly.
-
As it's been said, the sly look goes with any style with good quality, whether a suit or nice jeans and a T. O0
But one thing I have noticed (let me know if I'm wrong): When I am out, any guy who is sly is always dressed in a quality style, never (ever) sloppy; unlike a lot of other guys.

I like plain shirts and jeans myself. I wear things a little tight because it shows off my arms and chest more. the plainer clothes show draw attention to the head resulting in maximum rubs
:@`
just a joke pic below of my best friend and I. We always mess around and do our cop training everywhere. we even pretended to do a building search of Home Depot during store hours. just hands as guns tho. so funny.

to get back to my original suggestion for this thread; here are three pics of me in the three modes of "sly style"; everyday; trendy; dressed up. As far as trendy; I've seen a lot of folks going around in straw cowboy hats this summer; not sure if this qualifies as "trendy" but it's the best I can do !
so here goes; how about some of you guys follow suit (pun ?? ) .... It'd be nice to see some visuals to go with the ideas about sly style
here is 'everyday
-
my idea of 'trendy' ...
-
and finally; 'dressed up' .
-
and finally; 'dressed up' .
Very dapper. I like.

Sharp dressed 'Sly Guy'! O0 8) O:O

Looking at JohnMont....who can say SLY isn't good no matter what the fashion statement??
Way to go John....
-
John that is a badass suit look! I've never had the chance to wear a dark shirt dark tie combo like that and it looks spectacular!
-
JOhn MOnt--youve been shopping for clothes well. Help me pick out a few things, LOL?
-
sure, Marty; I'd be glad to. Maybe a couple of beers afterward .

I always think Sly suits suits, smart or more casual, it's a good look O0
-
agreed. Sly and a suit looks great. That's a good look for you Rob. O0
-
just for the hell of it, here's one I took earlier... 8)

Very "Daddy Warbucks" with the shaved off goatee action! O0
-
I happen to like sly and a goatee but for what its worth I think no goat is a good look for ya bro.
-
Sometimes I just like a change...probably the goat will be back before the end of the year O0

Hey why not change it up...us sly guys only have either more shine or not when it comes to changin' up the look on our naked domes...
changing around the face fur helps keep it interesting! O0
-
You can have my face fur when you shave it off my cold dead face! ;D

Slow down Tiger...
I should say...if the "Mr. Clean" style is something one might be wantin' to try!
Keep the mug brush BB...
THAT suits you and your slick dome perfectly! O0

I wish I had the nerve to turn goatee into a soul patch. I had this same dilemma when deciding to shave my head. I suppose I should just do it. Only takes a week or two to grow a goat back. O0
-
I agree, sly guys look great in suits. I have one suit that I rarely wear but every time I do the wife says she loves it. Normally at work I wear jeans or carharts with a work shirt. Around the farm I wear carharts most of the time with a flannel or western shirt. When we do manage to go out I normally wear a formal western look.

Yup...just answered for yourself..
go for it bro..you might dig the soul patch..
it'll make you feel a bit more bald...and really what's wrong with that?
Worst case, in two weeks your back to the old you!
I ALWAYS thought I had to have a goat...for 15 years...
now I'm diggin' the Mr. Clean action..
like we say around here...it's only hair!

hey Rob;
I agree this clean look (with tux) is VERY good on you.

Thanx John O0

I'm with Koz for casual wear. I wear a little shorter sleeved shirt so my tattoos peek out just a little. Otherwise I dress up in a suit or sportcoat with a white or blue shirt and a tie. Sly looks good with anything though.
-
My "trendy" look is mostly khaki's, two keys on two of the belt loops (house keys, i figure i might lose one somehow), a plain white or gray t-shirt that I've penned some strange phrase on in sharpie (something like "Wit is the highest form of communication"), and a flannel jacket.
Yup. I'm an outcast lol. But hey I see it as flannel + khakis (+keys) + odd phrase T + shaved head = sly.
Maybe my math is wrong though.
-
But one thing I have noticed (let me know if I'm wrong): When I am out, any guy who is sly is always dressed in a quality style, never (ever) sloppy; unlike a lot of other guys.
Stands to reason. If you didn't care about your appearance in general, you wouldn't shave your head. Of course there is the extreme of caring too much. No offense intended, but on this site there are guys who obsess about having a smooth shaved head at all times, to the point of skin irritation or spending cumulative hours of the day shaving. A more clothing oriented example of this obsession can be found in the July issue of GQ in the Dating Life column. Poor b*^%#$d turns down one otherwise attractive woman after another because she's wearing last year's designer jeans or something. When you know the brand and year of a woman's clothing, you need professional help! Men are supposed to behave as though style is effortless. Amongst ourselves we can discuss the issue--fathers please teach your sons--but to the world at-large fashion should appear to be an afterthought or something at the back of our minds.
