Title: Greeting fellow Sly Guys and Gals
Post by: smoothpate on August 22, 2008, 11:53:45 AM
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 47, originally from Indiana, I've been shaving my head on a regular basis for the past 14 years (I'd shaved my head a few times in the three years before that) and for the past ten years I've been living in Las Vegas, the "Greatest City in the World".

I found this site while doing a search on head waxing. The reason I started shaving my head was that I realized that sooner or later I would have MPB, so why not beat Mother Nature to the punch by going BBC. Right now I haven't gone bald on top, but my hair has thinned out enough that even shaved you can see where I will be bald. So I've been looking at getting that area waxed to speed up the process through traction aleopecia. I'm a bit impatient, so since it's going I want it gone NOW!!!!!!

I've not regretted my decision to shave for a moment. One of the benefits has been that I've gotten to be an expert at reading people by their reaction to my shaved head. It's funny that the people who think they are superior to you because they have hair tend to be the most shallow as well as more incompetent than they think. Plus it's helped me to be able to find quality people to associate with who care more about you that what's on top of your head.

I'll reveal more of myself in some of the topics on the forum. It's great to find a forum that celebrates being bald and the bald lifestyle!!!

Welcome smoothpate,
I think you will like it here.  Funny, you are the second person today today that I see declaring an interest in waxing their dome!  Look inside the head shaving directory, and look under waxing.  Watch the video, and then tell me you want to go thru with it!

I personally would rather shave my head with a broken Coke bottle before I did that. O0

That is pretty much where I am in terms of my hairloss!

Welcome to the SBG forum smooth, glad to have you join us.

Good to hear you decided to beat mother nature to the punch. Many guys wait way too long and then bam!, she has her way with them. You can always tell.

As far as waxing the dome, I have no interest in that. I enjoy my shaving and I look forward to it.

Enjoy the forum and keep it smooth, smooth!      O0
