i know some sly guys like a matte finnish, but i like my dome shiney!
how do i get my dome as shiny as i want it?
-
Try Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera gel. You can get it cheap at WalMart and it leaves a great shine.
-
two drops of baby oil containing aloe vera
-
whats this aloe and ice thing people were talking about?
-
Go run round the block a bit. That'll get you shining on top!
-
lol, i guess that works! :popo ;D O0
-
The Aloe and Ice just feels good. I use glossy head lube to get my dome to shine
-
how well does the glossy head lube work?
and where can i get it?
-
Personally, I don't have to do anything. I just naturally shiny. Comes from having oily skin.
The ice cube rub after shaving and just a dab of aloe vera gel will definitely crank-up the shine.
BTW, from my experience, the Headlube products will leave you scalp feeling greasy. IMHO.
-
oik, i will try that the next time i shave:D
-
My head shines nice from AFTA (something you got) or it could just be due to the shape of my head ;D. Its good to see a pic of you.
-
thanks:D
i have afta, i love the smell
i got the blug and the green, which one is better
-
I got no idea, I use the green one. Check the label on the back and use the one with the least # of ingredients. That way you will have less things to cause your head/skin to break out.
-
lol ok, i love the smell, but from what i can see the shine isnt that amazing. if i look in the mirror shoul i be able to see a bright shine?
-
cold water rinses and either bald guys gel or clear aloe gel. It not only gives great shine it soothes and helps repair shave damaged skin. Really amazing stuff
-
I'm with Nick... always get compliments on my shine and I usually use Aloe Vera after an ice cube rub, but occasionally I use Bald Guyz Gel. I too have found the HB stuff leaves my dome very greasy no matter how little of it I use.
-
ok, thanks
-
Stand under a light... :D
-
...I just use sun lotion on the dome to keep it from drying out. It's one of the few things I can use on my head without it causing me spots and bumps. I tend to have a naturally shiny dome anyway, and that's the way I like it! O0
-
Stand under a light... :D
Daaamn...NIIIIICE shine brutha!
and btw, Mr. Clean works for ya too! O0
-
Likewise O0
Trouble is, I get a few spots when I shave my chin :(
-
I don't need anything to make my dome shine it comes natural from my oily skin. I do use Nivea after shave balm though but not for the shine but because it works great and keeps the noggin smooth and soft O0
-
usually just spit and smegma.

usually just spit and smegma.
lol. He said smegma. :) Reminds me of Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay where the friend was wearing a shirt that read "I love smegma." I had to explain that to soooo many people.
I just shave mine and it shines right up. I try to tone it down so as to not blind people.
-
Cold water rinse or ice cube rub works great.
-
Personally, I like the headlube glossy... yeah it does kinda leave a little slick feeling, but I like the way it makes my head feel. Though, the other day I did accidentally use too much, and my head looked like a polished bowling ball... like super waxed and polished. I didn't notice it until the reflection in the mirror actually gave me light spots in my eyes... lol :*))
-
The best thing for shine is definitely HeadLube Glossy. 8)
-
I am usually naturally shiny....which I like! But when I really want to shine, I use HeadLube Glossy. I have also used aloe and sunscreen and I usually shine after that as well!
-
For the "blind them shine" I use spf70 by Neutrogena, it's a spray on product--then I don't even bother to rub it in. It's like shellac--reflections are incredible.
-
I also use HeadLube when I want to step it up a notch. I rub in a little at a time, like maybe pea-size, until it feels like my head's soaked in what it wants, then just one more touch for a topcoat. I have a regular size bottle of Glossy and a sample thing of Matte when I want to change it up.
If you order your HeadLube straight from HB, I highly reccomend ordering a pump to go with it. It's much easier to use and you get better portion control. Of course, if you have any old bottles of hand soap or hand lotion, those pumps will usually fit the HB bottles as well. Just make sure to rinse them out really well.

I get the closest shave possible then a splash of which hazel which does the trick for me.
-
O:O I mix a few drops of olive oil with my HeadShed scrub (by HeadBlade).
After shaving, (I use Bald Guyz Shave Gel combined with a dab of HeadBlade's HeadWash.
Afterwards, I rub a few drops of Witch Hazel into the old noggin and let air dry.
:@` Voila!

Certainly seems to do the job, wish I could get mine like that... great shine Noodles!
-
Tolsom aftershave splash and skin smoothing gel leaves it shiny with a babypowder feel(leads to longer head rubs)...
-
I've never strived for the shine, it just seems to come with the shave.
-
Olive Oyl!!!!! ;D
-
Noodles - - -Sure looks great but what a lot of work - - - - - -I use Bald Guyz moisture gel and cold water right after I shave - - -I get a great shine

HeadLube glossy, with a couple drop of either Shave Secret or Hot Six Oil for good measure.

As with some others, "Head Lube, Glossy."
-
Does anyone else use a cloth for buffing, for a little extra shine?
