Six years, thats how longs I have suffered with my hair. It's not easy going bald at seventeen and then by 22 being a Norwood 5 but I guess that's life. Using all the rogaine and propecia in the world never really helped me, possibly slowing the inevitable down and then the concealers. Well, what can I say, even if people didn't notice them it didn't stop me wondering all the time if someone was looking at my hair and wondering what the hell??? Well, I am going away for the next four months so I thought it's now or never. Went to a pro hairdresser who used a three blade all over but I was unhappy. Just a chunk at the front and big gap between crappy see through hair. All the volumisers and concealers in the world couldn't do anything for it so I took out my own clipper and did a one all over. The white where my hair was is not flattering but I guess that will fade with time and some fake tan for the time being. The relief was unbelievable. At last I was free, hair didn't control me and I had four months to get used to it by myself. Perfect!!! And you know I think it looks quite good, even my parents said it looked quite good on me. I would like it to grow a little more, possibly another weeks worth of shadow and I will be quite happy. maybe a blade two next time!!! Thanks guys for all the necouragement on your posts, I have never posted beofre but read all the previous posts thinking if they can do it, why can't I. Thin crappy hair - Unattractive- no hair styles suit it and anything you do with it, it just looks like a mess. Get those clippers out and shave it lads and you are free!!!!!

Hello new way, welcome to the SBG site. Glad you decided to join in and great that you have taken the first step to your freedom.
The gradual buzz is a good way to allow yourself to get used to having your hair shorter, but if you really are unhappy with the way it's looking you have to go whole hog.
Have the barber buzz it down to a 0, then go home and shave it down.
I can guarantee you will be saying why didn't I do this sooner, and you will absolutely love it.
Freedom awaits you. The feeling is awesome. I call it "slydom".
Get that baby smooth, and let us know how it goes and how you feel. O0
