Title: WHAT razors have U used during your time as a SBG?
Post by: warhawk on August 13, 2008, 09:33:29 PM: hello fellow chrome domes: what razors have U used during your time as a SBG? i'm a fusion (manual) man. it gets me the smooooothest. O0 however... i've tried an electric (norelco), mach3, schick quattro, gillete sensor, schick extreme, & even the venus razor during my time as a SBG.

so... how 'bout U? what razors have U used during your time as a SBG? as U can see... i've tried several however... the fusion (manual) rocks 4 me. so...what's your story?

Post by: SlickCountry on August 13, 2008, 10:14:19 PM: I started on a fusion, but I've converted to HeadBlade. I have used a sensor, CVS M3 (generic Mach 3), some assorted disposables, and my old electric (not sure what kind). I originally used double blades on the HB, but thanks to SBG, I have found triples that work good and are affordable (CVS M3).

Currently trying the Azor and finding it OK. Xtreme 3 would be a favourite otherwise.

Same here.

Used the Braun Activator and Synchro but got velcro head too quickly. :D

right now, the mach 3 is my favorite, but i'm sure that will change eventually. i was using the fusion for the last 6-8 months, but am constantly experimenting and changing things to get a better shave. never really cared much for the headblade--i know alot of you guys swear by it, but it just doesn't hit the right angles on my head.

I've tried the Schick Extreme III disposable, it worked well but took too many passes.

Post by: Kojack on August 17, 2008, 12:46:51 AM: Used the MACH 3 the first couple days I went sly. Shortly thereafter started using the Panasonic Linear. Haven't looked back. I still use the MACH 3 for the face shave and touch up though.

less expensive blades give poorer results.

O.K. So I took a dumb ass pill when I responded to this post before..

I currently use the...Yes HeadBlade....but in the past I have used every razor know to man, including most electric. However for the last several years I have used nothing but the Mach 3.

In my lack of motivation to improve my SLYNESS I have failed to notice or care at the time, that they actually have come out with a 5 blade razor, which I find absolutely ridiculous.

Like I have said before, I wish they would have invented the HeadBlade back in the early 80's. Just think of all the money I would have saved over the years?

Since then, and thanks to all you guys I have spent more money on new razor to try than I think should be legal. 4 blade, 5 blade, then I found the HeadBlade........and lets not mention the creams and oils and sunscreen.....ok lets mention them...........I just counted.....21 bottles in the cabinet in the bathroom....Thats 19 more than I had before I joined this forum........But My head says thanks...and so do I....

I believe you said you have 3 females in the house? Where do they keep their make up and personal items? LOL

One blade a week, fresh on Saturday. I'm "true to my school!" and for me Fusion Power is the home team. As Lucille Ball said when they asked her why she never changed the basic format of her TV show, "Don"t F*ck With Success!" Gotta love that dame.

I'm getting a longer lasting close shave with the Atras than I do with the HB Trips.

Same here FR8, these are my base blades. I will use the other doubles and triples now and then, but the Atra's are definitely best.

I have a "Me Cabinet" on the back wall that only I use......I don't even rate a shelf in the shower or space on the counter top...........I was exiled :( :D
