Title: GoateeSaver
Post by: Tyro on August 08, 2008, 03:48:56 PM

I did not discover this product. One of our former members told me about it. Trimming a goat can be tedious at times. I don't know how many times I cut too much off my goat. For those of us that are precision challenged, this looks like the perfect solution.

It's a neat little gadget.

LOL.  There will be a full beard attachment in no time.

Now, I'm not trying to be negative...but it seems like everyone has a different shaped goatee. There are literally millions of facial shapes and hair combos. It doesn't look like that guy is coming anywhere near his goatee...which would mean he'll still need to go back and shape it up anyway.
I would need one crazy mold to cut my beard.

Looks a little scary.  And you're never going to get clean edges on your goat with a Fusion razor.

If you have trouble keeping the edges straight, a credit card held up to the edge can be a big help.

Ok, I have to ask. Is it really that hard for some people to shave around a line of hair? I have a friend who has trouble with his beard, but I always assumed he was in the minority. Is there a market for Beard Stencils?

It can be hard to keep the lines straight and clean, and getting everything to be symmetrical.  I'm getting a little better at it finally but still need some professional help to keep a well-groomed look.

What I can't understand is WHY it looks so COMPLICATED!!  Would just a piece of plastic have sufficed!?  Hannibal Lector for sure. :px

The 3 bars are turnbuckles to adjust for width.
The inventor is doing a cross country tour but got into a minor accident outside of Fresno and his tour is on hold while his car is fixed.
While I have no problems with trimming my goatee he seems like an honest guy trying to fill a need.
Unlike rip off artist like Billy Mays who are always schilling useless junk.

Even with that contraption, I can't help but think you would still need to trim .....I just cannot see getting close enough to edge of the goat with that thing on that you wouldn't have to still shave around the edges.....maybe I'm missing something...... ^^32

That gadget first reminded my of Hannibal Lecter... and then something else that I won't go into...

Personally, I would save my money and just use your index finger as a guide.  Lay it aside either side of your mouth and shave accordingly...
