Title: Bleach for shadow??
Post by: Kojack on August 05, 2008, 08:31:42 PM
Just curious. Does anyone with dark hair apply anything to the scalp that bleaches the stubble so shadow isn't noticable as quick? Is something like that possible to do?

I haven't kojack. I would think it wouldn't work because as the stubble grew it would be natural color.
Would have to be like a underscalp injection ... like botox with a bleaching agent.

I echo what Champ said.  I don't think it would work very well unless you did it daily, yet that would probably cause some serious irritation.

Yeah, when you are talking about millimeters of hair growth, it isn't very practical to dye it. I mean...when I am done shaving there isn't anything at all there...I don't think I can dye the hair folicles.

Yeah I was thinking more like a product like Sun-in where you just apply it and throughout the day it lightens the subble so shadow isn't as noticable.

Yeah the stubble/shadow does get annoying, especially cause hair grows faster in some areas, at least for me

Yeah, the back of my head grows slower in a few areas...it stays smoother much longer. And the front and sides do tend to grow quicker that anywhere else. I don't really mind the "shadow" as it's clearly NOT what anyone is looking at when they see me. "Damn man! Do you buff your head or something? That is some serious SHINE!" Comments like that are VERY common. So it's apparent they aren't seeing a tiny bit of dark hair hiding just under my scalp. lol
