Title: I was asked the dumbest question but it got me to thinkin...
Post by: Mike on August 04, 2008, 09:53:14 AM: When I was at work yesterday there was a customer that commented on how shiny my head was. Then they asked if I used turtle wax (for cars) to get the shine. I told them ice cubes and aloe vera.
Anyway that got me to thinking, what would happen if someone put car wax type stuff on their dome, would it make it shine or what?

Post by: The Zook on August 04, 2008, 10:32:52 AM: It's not the wax that necessarily makes your paint shine, it's the polish that should be applied before it. Wax is just a sealer/topcoat that protects the finish.

But no, wax alone will not make your head shine - in fact I would guess it to have the opposite effect since your skin is much more porous than paint which would cause the residue to sit, making your skin dull in appearance but smelling quite nice.

Kinda like the guy I knew that used silicone seal for holding his false teeth in with :*))
