I'm curious on the time commitment/risk factor for head shaving with a straight razor. With all the nifty HB products, the whole shaving/shower takes no more than 10 minutes (when I'm being lazy). The allure of shaving like an old school barber is pretty strong though. Most of the references to straight razors only involve face shaving, any expertise from the crowd here?

Knowing me, I'd have better luck using a lawn-mower on my head. If I want a straight-razor shave, I'd find a barber to do it.

My barber skins me against the grain using a straight razor. He goes over my head twices. gives me the hot towels, shave creme,etc.. its a great once in awhile treat but he still cant get me as slick as I can myself

As an occasional straight razor user (Fromm) myself, that's a nice collection!

A straight razor is nice because you can not clog the blade.

Shave with one on my face. Normally on weekends, but moving towards full time. I have not tried to shave my head with one yet, but I am interested on trying it; just afraid I will butcher myself with the thing.
