As the title would suggest. I live in a little place called Holmfirth and what I love is the fact that this is pretty much the view from my living room window:

I think that one of the biggest reasons I live where I live is that I love to play in the snow, but hate to shovel it out of my driveway. And this place allows me to do that.

OH YOU DONT EVEN WANNA KNOW WHERE I LIVE......I will post a pic later when I clean up the yard....

Make sure you got flowers planted in the porcelain toilet out front. And for God's sake put some tires on the car on blocks and at least make it look like it actually runs. :*))

I soooooo wanted to say something about that toilet... but I'm gonna be a good girl and just think it instead! >:D

I live just outside of a small Pa. town on the side of a mountain. My nearest neighbor is about 500 feet away. Wild life is rampant.
When I leave at 4:30 Am for work I can actually hear............ nothing. That's right.... the sweet sound of nothing.
I LOVE where I live..............

I live ouside of a little town called Deer Park. The funny thing about Deer Park is that we are about 20 mins from Elk and Elk has way more deer than us and we have way more elk than they do. When I look out my front window I see a small yard, then a paved road, then a wheat field. When I look out the kitchen window I see the backyard and sheds, goats, cattle, horses, poultry, broke down tractors, stinky buck goats, then beyond that I see the alfalfa field and the peas, then there is the winding strip of trees where the creek is, then a blank area where the summer pasture is, then more trees where the creek bends, and finally the partially bare mountain where a fire was a few years back. I will try to get pics soon, it seems that when I want the camera either the batteries are dead or someone else is using it.
I love where I live because the urban sprawl hasnt reached us yet, there are still large farms like ours. I love that there are wild critters everywhere. I love the smells, from the sweet smell of alfalfa to the musky smell at the creek and the strange but good smell of the bull pine forest, I even love the smell of the barns in the morning. I love that I can walk out the back door butt naked sun bathe if I want to.

While I wouldn't mind living in the country like some of you are able to, I live in a part of Seattle called, West Seattle. While I don't have a scenic view out my door, I am blessed that I don't live far from some really pretty scenery. In less than 10 minutes, I can be at the shores of Puget Sound and see spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains. In that same amount of time, I can be on a ferry to rural Vashon Island or the Olympic Peninsula. I also live just 5 minutes from parks with views of the Cascase Range including views of Mt Rainier and Mt Baker (near Canada). In that same park, there is a great city view of Seattle. So I look at it with the perspective of the glass half full. It may not be a postcard view out my window, I have those views in minutes, not hours. Plus there is a nice forested area to the back of my apartment complex.

Well really there isnt much to say about Washington Indiana. We are located in sw indiana. Washington can easily be found on Hwy 50 that runs east to west and I am just about 20 miles east of Vincennes Indiana. We had tons of Amish in this area and that brings alot of tourism here. For the locals, we could careless about them. We have tons of "Amish Restaurants" if you want to call them that. Just for once, I wish an out of towner would listen to the locals and go where the real amish food is...but no they always tend to go to the "Well known" ones. TOURIST TRAP I TELL YA. lol
Anyways...i even googled searched Washington Indiana for photos...and nothing.. not a damn thing. So that goes to show you how exciting it is around here.

Here is a link http://www.fcvb.org to where I live, as there is also a photo gallery on the right sidebar that you can click on. There are just way to many photo's to post here as I have others as well.

Rocklin, CA.
Highly accredited schools, nice weather, a great sense of community, great golf, and close to Lake Tahoe & The San Francisco Bay Area. Plus, Rocklin was just mentioned in Family Circle Magazine as one of the Top 10 cities in the nation to raise a family (the only city in California to make the list). Pretty cool stuff.

Your in a good area. A long time ago, I was stationed at Beale AFB and loved the area, as I had grown up in San Lorenzo, Ca. and I have a lot of family history in the Seirra Foothills etc.

I live on the edge of a Sleaford in Lincolnshire (not far from the original Boston).
It's a lot quieter and more relaxed than where I grew up in Kingston (not the one in Jamaica). Only 1 mile from home to the office and only 100yds from home to farmland and greenery. This is a view near the town centre:

The whole town pretty much looks out at this...

Its a quiet seaside town on the Puget Sound. Nice little downtown with great views, good food, shops and a little theater, some nice beaches and parks, close to Seattle, nice for walking etc.

Currently, I live in Fremont, which is a community of Seattle. Fremont is known to be a very "artistic" place, that I'm sure some of you Seattle guys can attest to. Besides the random wierdos, it's a great place for bars and music venues, and has an all-around laid-back attitude. Plus, once a year there is a parade that is kicked off by hundreds of naked bicyclists. and Yes, that's what I love about where i live :). Beyond that, like Marsh said, you can be next to a body of water, a mountain, a forest, within a matter of minutes here. A lot of people who like the best of both worlds (city/nature) find it hard to leave this area.
That said, I'm moving in September to a much less cultured, but quieter suburb of Seattle, called Woodinville.

Keep Fremont weird!
Woodinville is pretty nice too, I heard there is a absynthe company opening up there.

Griffin, Georgia. About an hour south of Atlanta.
The best kept secret in GA. It's one of those towns that is big enough to not know everybodies business, but small enough that someone will call you if they see your kid doing something they ought not to be doing!
