Well - found this site by accident aqnd glad I did. I was looking for some products for my newly shaved head. Liked what I read aqnd decided to join.
A little about me - I have thought of shaving bald a long time and slowly worked my way down from long-ish hair (Never really grew long but tended to bush out) to a 3 clip to a 2 clip to cutting it myself and buzzing it down as low as I could.
Then wife went on vacation (Took grandchild to beach and I was going to join a few days later since I could not get away from work. Figured I would try it and if I didn't like it I could grow it back before seeing her.
Well - needless to say - I was hooked. Shaved it down best I could with my old remington. Nowhere near as close as I wanted bu fine for a test. Didn't want to use a razor since I have some moles in the back and was afraid of cutting them.
So I like it as it was but wanted it closer - bought another electric but wasn't satisfied. Tried a third but still no go (although it is good for a touch up in the back where I am still hesitent with the blade. But I am getting better with the blade after 2 weeks of daily shaving, and only nick it int eh back 1 in 3 shaves.
Tried using an oil last night and am going to buy either baby oil or secret shaver. Also considering getting a head blade. Cut is getting closer, compliments coming more often.
Anyway more later - but thanks in advance. From what I see there is lots of support and friendship on this board. For example I thought there was something strange that I found shaving my head addictive. From what I have read that is not uncommon. Also I see that a lot of questions I have and ideas I thought about have been checked out, tried and succeed or failed already (such as the thought of using a product like NAIR - thanks for saving me from making that mistake!).
