Who is/was your favorite comic book character?
When I was a kid (like 35 years ago) I always looked forward to the new release of my favorite comic book characters. I would walk down to the little corner drug store about a mile from home, pick out my favorite new comic book, get a grilled cheese sandwich and cherry coke, and go sit out under this big maple tree and read the comic while having my sandwhich and cherry coke.
My favorites:
Spiderman
Daredevil
Thor
Captain America
Hulk
X-Men
-
Beryl the Peril and the Four Mary's :)
-
Superman has always been an absolute favorite of mine.
After that would be:
Gambit
Iron Man
Wolverine

I don't remember the Four Mary's.
I was a diehard Beano fan. Minnie the Minx and the Bash Street Kids

Daredevil....had the entire series thru issue #190 or so.
Sold the lot before the movie came out and before Ebay....too bad. Could have gotten alot of $$ for it.
The movie (starring Bennifer....did a good job) was a great adaptation of the comic.

Magma, that sounds like a late-night ITV chat show with Graham Norton, Julian Cleary, Sir Ian and Sir Elton. :*)) :*)) :*)) :*))

Wolverine. And Hugh Jackman in the Xmen movies is perfect in that role. Although I will say
I was a little disappointed to see him do his singing and dancing from some play...I was like...THIS is Wolverine ?
lol

Stumpy... the Four Marys wouldn't have been something you would have read
unless you had sisters.. it was from 'The Bunty' :)

In DC comics it was the Green Lantern. I was more of a Marvel comics fan and there Thor topped the list.

Actually I forgot about Tintin, a Belgium comic (see, us Republican Americans can be "enlightened" too O0 $@y).
Enjoyed reading all of them. Gave my son "Destination Moon" when I recently saw it in a bookstore.
We're going to sit down and read it together once I get home from this business trip (I need to explain the characters to him). After that, I hope both my kids gets as much enjoyment out of those books as I did. Granted at ages 8 & 10, it might be a tough read for them, but I'll help them along.

Spiderman all the way, I also like Sgt. Rock an other war type comics as well.
