Title: Intermittent sly guy

I'm back to shaving my head, so I decided to delurk and introduce myself.

I've alternated between a shaved head and various buzz cuts for the past few years. Periods of shaving have lasted from a few weeks to a few months, usually in the summer. I have thick, wiry, wavy hair, so shaving has always been a pain for me (face or head). Seems almost silly to make things worse for myself by deciding to go sly, but I like how it looks and love how it feels.

Got caught in a heavy rainstorm on Saturday and kept smiling and laughing at how great the raindrops felt on the top of my head.

I had wondered if I'd get tossed out because the forum had reached its Mike quota.

One time years ago at a party someone noticed there were six guys in the room -- half of them were Mikes and the other half Steves. I think it was weird for the Steves. The Mikes are more used to it.

I agree with the mike thing, I remember in high school in one of my classes there were 4 Mikes/Michaels including me. When I was younger I hated my name, it was too common, lol.

I've been to Rovaniemi (and as far north as Inari), but not Kemijärvi.

I used to travel a good deal, and I spent a couple weeks in Finland back in 2000. I only know enough Finnish to annoy people on the internet.

LOL! There really should be a cheat sheet for identifying the Mikes and Robs. Anyway, big welcome, Mike. Intermittent or twice-a-day shaver, you still have the SLY 'tude.
