Hey guys I found this place on Google and love it on with my question. I want to go sly but my wife does not want me to. So did any of you ever have this problem and what was your solution.

She's learning to live with it. LOL Seriously, I was poking around on the PC and she came over and was poking my bean saying "I can see my reflection on your head".

if you browse around a bit you'll find that there are some guy's on here that have had a little 'aggro' with their other halves.. but I think you'll find in most cases, the women come around to the Sly way of thinking. ^-^

Welcome, Blasto. Hang in there. If she's like my wife, she'll eventually either come around or learn to accept it as part of who you are.

That was cold there Birdman not to mention down right rude....obvious you dont have a wife. To judge whether to shave or not depending on the looks of the wife? Oh my wife is a dog...im shaving my head, have you not seen some gorgeous looking women with guys who shave their heads? But, whatever, your comment totally stinks....
Here is what I did bro, I didnt even let the wife know I was going to do it. Sure when I walked down stairs the first time after shaving it, all of their jaws hit the floor...actually I think my wife's jaw went thru the floor down to the basement floor and went "SMACK" LOL. SHe never really said if she liked it or not....but I did hear her mention a while back that she couldnt imagine me with hair. THey will come around.
NOTE***** If they love you ..they will love you unconditionally...not because of your looks!

Your wife will come around. My wife immediately loved it and I can tell she was being genuine and not just supportive...you guys are gonna have to trust me on that one 8)
It sounds to me like you have hair so why not try it ? If you hate it--it will grow back to a healthy 1/8 of an inch in like a week.
I would bet your wife probably colors her hair, wears makeup and various outfits and accessories to make herself look her best
and I am sure you have little to do with that decision making process of hers so why should she have so much influence
on your decision about your appearance ?

As most of you know, The Lovely Mrs. Schro does not like the bald look on me. She has grown to accept it (or is at least keeping her dislike to herself).
If your wife likes it, great. If you like it and she does not, hopefully she'll just accept it and leave it be.

I am sure your wife would prefer you to be happy and confident regardless of your hair (or lack thereof).
Hang in there, she will either get used to it.. or she wont, I am sure the added confidence and cleanliness that comes from the sly look wont be argued.
At least give it a try and see how you both feel about it after 30 days.

No that is me from today. Did it while wife was at work and when she came home she had to admit that she actually like it. :)

My wife is ok with the sly look - but she absolutely hates the beard - not sure what else I can do to make myself look even less attractive to her. :XX
This is by no means a sexist remark - but I find there are FAR more women than men who are hung up on appearances - I get negative comments about my head/beard several times a week from women I know.

I would have to agree with you Keeper.
You being such a beard enthusiast I am surprised to hear your wife hates it.

Keep in mind that some of our changes were dramatic. It can be shocking and some initial comments may be negative. I also noticed that most people and spouses come around to embrace the SLY look. Hopefully, everyone else learns to keep their comments to themselves.

My wife prefers me with hair, but she seldom says anything about my slyness anymore and when she does, she's usually teasing me. I think it just took her some time to get used to it. It is a dramatic difference. I also think she respects me for just sticking with my decision to be bald. We've been married for 25 years, so for my wife, the change was pretty jarring at first. She knows I love being sly, so she's being great about it. There are more important things than hair to get worked-up over.

My wife liked the way it looked immediately, but it was almost two weeks before she would touch it. Now she likes to rub it after my shower (and I like her to rub it)

Here's what you do...Get a coin...tell her "Head's i win..Tails you loose"...then flip it either way you win!!
Just kidding. My wife likes me either way she married me when I had a fulllllllllll head of hair and she's still here today. Your wife will probably get used to it but if it is a real bad source of friction then reevaluate your choice.

I had the same situation the first time I went sly. After a couple months I gave in and grew my hair back but I hated it. This go-around, I sat the lovely Mrs. Pate down and explained to her how I felt and that as much as I respected her opinion, the decision was mine and I had decided to go back to being sly.
It did take her a little time to adjust but now she has accepted the fact that I'm staying sly till I die! ;)
You can't make others like it but the decision isn't theirs to make! O0
