New to the forum but I have been monitoring it for a few weeks now.  I started loosing my hair when I was 17, and now at 27 it looks like hell.  So, after visting this and some other forums, I bought the Headblade and put it to use today.  Kinda wish I would have wait for the summer because my head is freaking freezing here in Detroit!

BaldRob is right....it won't be long before you wont' notice a difference from when you had hair.  The only thing that gets cold is my ears.  Noggin usually stays pretty toasty.

My ears get too cold cause they stick out too far from my noggin. That's where the skully and the beanie come in handy.

I would agree with this, except even the ears really don't get unbearably cold for me.

And congrats juventus, you'll really like the decision I think.

Been there my friend!

Glad you decided to make the jump. Remember to use moisturizer on your head in the winter months. There's nothing worse than a chapped head!

Welcome to sly bald guys!

Hey Dawgg, another Mid-Westerner! I like the cold on my noggin'.
Find it invigorating. Especially the wind and lake effect snow!

Man, today was my first day at worked "domed out" at it was rather interesting to say the least.  My biggest concern lies in being associated with Skinheads or Neo-Nazi groups as my work environment consists of an ever changing clientle base.  Thanks again for the warm reception and the motivation to take a rather challenging step.

Don't worry about being associated with those groups unless you tend to act like them.  People might think of it as an initial impression, but if your speech and actions don't back up their suspicions, all will be cool

Tyler is correct.  My wife and I were just discussing the phenomena that people feel the need to peg labels on people and put people into categories.  A fine, upstanding, friendly BALD guy blows away certain folks' defined categories...and some folks are terribly uncomfortable thinking out of the box....(they have my pity).

So as Tyler mentioned, if you happen to dress and or act like a certain group commonly associated with head shaving, some folks say, "AHA...OK...he's a __________"

But otherwise a decent, upstanding, friendly, stand up type of guy....their heads cock....like a dog does at the sound of a high pitched whistle.
