I have been lurking on this site for close to a year trying to get the guts to finally shave my balding head. I have been getting haircuts with no guard for two years now. So tonight I finally shaved it off and I am now wondering why I waited so long. The Great Clips in Kentucky will have one less customer now.

As a fellow Kentuckian (transplanted) and newly slick-headed man, I bid you welcome to this crazy place called Sly Bald Guys. Seriously though, welcome. I'm REALLY glad you're happy with your new 'do. Tell us a bit more about yourself so we can get to know you a bit. And yes, we would like a pic.
-
Welcome bro!
Congrats on making a great move for yourself
Post a pic of your balded mug when you can!

Robo21, congrats & welcome!!! Wow, I didn't realize there were other Kentuckians on here! I've lived in KY all my life and am now living in Louisville.

Scott, I live in Louisville, too. It's a pretty small world.

Thanks for the welcome. I live in Florence KY and I grew up on the Indiana side of Louisville. Over the past ten years I have went from having hair halfway down my back to having almost none on the top of my head. I kept putting off shaving it because I was afraid I'd knick it up to bad. I only have one small wound from the shave job. Now I just hope I can get a little color on the noggin before I have to return to work Monday.

Welcome!!!
I bet you feel like a million $$$$ since you shaved your gord! O0 O0 O0

Hey robo, welcome to the SBG site, glad you decided to join us.
Nice to hear you are loving the smooth dome, and you're enjoying your new found freedom.
You have also joined the ranks of us who have asked the same question: "why didn't I do this sooner?" ;)
Anyway, enjoy the smooth, shiny noggin'! O0

I just had to notice that you did the deed on Independence Day -- how appropriate. Welcome aboard.

Way to go, robo21

Welcome! Enjoy the experience of a daily headshave and total baldness!
-
Well I may regret day two. I went hiking with some friends and while I did remember to put on sunscreen, I think it stopped working after the first two hours. The top of my head is glowing right now. ;D
-
Hey, you have some color to you head, at least. hahah!
How do you like it thus far?
-
I am liking it so far. I go back to work in a couple of hours should be interesting to see if anyone even notices. I've been needing to do this for awhile. :)
-
You'll be fine man. At most you may get some playful remarks from some friends.
-
DIgory: u look fine.

I guess I have been on the fence to long. It took two hours before anyone even noticed I had shaved my head. ;D Still loving it however. The only problem I have is the back of my neck feels like it wants to break out. I load trucks all day so I sweat alot this time of year and it is getting irritated.
I hope to get a picture this weekend. I tried to take one myself but it sucked, gotta get a friend to do it.
