Post by: Lord of the Rings Junkie on July 03, 2008, 09:38:38 PM: Hey folks, my name is Steve. I'm a bald-by-choice 19 year-old since I don't like the work involved in taking care of longer hair, and I can't always get it buzzed before it needs some attention. Plus, I like the way it looks. :)

As evidenced by my user name, I am a Lord of the Rings freak. I have a passion for 3D computer graphics and I hope to work for a company similar to ILM someday (the dudes who did the VFX in the Star Wars, POTC, Transformers and many other movies.) Here's a couple of renders of my best work.

I'm pretty picky about my music, my whole library consists of this:

Evanescence: Fallen
Star Wars Soundtrack
LOTR Soundtrack
Gregorian chant album
and a Weird Al Yankovic playlist. :*))

@Robmeister: I occasionally also like to listen to some trance music, but I get my fix for that here (http://www.trance.fm/) without having to add any to my collection.

What's your medium of choice, Digory? Photoshop, paint, clay, charcoal, etc...

Post by: J Digory on July 04, 2008, 12:08:34 PM: I grew up poor so I always used pencils and ballpoint pens. You should see the shading I can do with a ballpoint pen. Pretty cool. But I mostly do design oriented things lately. I still draw, and I use a program on my computer called Painter that I use with a tablet...saves me having to scan my work. haha

I tried using a 3D program like blender a few times, but it's way too complicated for me. You're way smarter than me, man. I R not goodest at three-dee.

Gregorian chants are amazing.. I first heard them a good few years ago when I
listened to a dance act called 'enigma' thought they were pretty awesome.
I'm also a big fan of LOTR.. my most favourite movies and books of all time to date. :)
