What a shame. Tough guy though to win the Open in a playoff enduring that kind of pain.

PGA TV ratings are going to drop like a rock.  At least the rest of the pro's can look at this as an opportunity to win some tournaments and cash in.

In 2007 alone Eldrick Tont(Tiger) Woods earned $122 million.

From 1996-2007, Tiger Woods has earned $769,440,709 from winnings and endorsements and is expected to top the $1 billion mark by 2010, the first athlete to achieve this.

Not bad for a “Cablinasian" kid from Cypress CA. I've got nothing but respect for him. He is self-made. Used  his natural God given talent and went out and "Got 'er done".

I have followed golf for years. He is amazing. But I expected him to win at Torrey Pines, bad knee and all because he had won there 5-6 times in the past. With the FedEx points awarded at the end of 08, Phil MIckelson will win that because of Tiger's absence. In my opinion, Woods just gave Mickelson a $5 million present.

I hope those 91 holes at the Open were worth it in the long run.
