Just picked up David Sedaris's new book When You Are Engulfed in Flames. I buy his books in audio CD format. He's even funnier reading his own work.

Also bought The Joy of Living by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. Need to get some spiritual balance back into my life after being in a two month job search. And besides, the author is a seriously Sly dude O:O

I'm not sure what I'll be reading this summer, I will probably find a book at a yardsale and read it. Some of the books I read over the winter were 'Kite Runner' and 'A thousand splendid suns' by Khaled Hosseini, I liked Kite Runner, I read it about 4 times, the movie sucked big time.
I also read 'Git-R-Done' by Larry the Cable Guy, it was pretty good.
Right now I am reading 'Whoa... yuh sonsabitches' by Edgar R Potter, I got it at a yard sale for .10 and I am almost done with it, it reminds me alot of my childhood in a way.

Have a reading assignment for AP english (The stranger, Sidaartha) and I'll probably pick up a couple legend of Drizzt books this summer too (I just finished starless night)

Constant ramblings of very proud bald dudes.....
THIS pretty much takes up "my reading time"! ;)

I'm currently reading the Area 51 series by Robert Doherty, all about aliens, cover ups and government conspiracies if you're into that, but I'm also going to be reading these ones for work, not that I have to but I am always reading up and learning things for my job.

Andre,
and a noble vocation that is . . .
I'm amazed at how much time I spend reading this forum. There's just so much good stuff and great people.

Hey Red, love David Sedaris. I read his book Naked a couple of years ago and I was in stitches.
Currently reading Dead in the Water by Stuart Woods. Love his Stone Barrington novels.
-
My current read is "We wish to inform you that tomorrow we will be killed with our familys-Stories from Rwanda"-by Phillip Gurevitch.
Quite depressing and overwhelming at times but I feel it is necessary.
-
This is my current read....tell me that does not get your blood flowing :)
-
Absolutely riveting I'm sure. I'm a software QA guy working with dot net geeks like yourself and I don't know one who ever reads fiction.
Well, at least you have great taste in sunglasses 8)
Cheers,

I plan to read Sedaris' latest, too. It received great reviews. I liked all of the previous ones, Naked, Dress your Family in Corduroy, Me Talk Pretty One Day, etc. And when his stuff appears in Esquire's fiction essays or he's on NPR. Hilarious and wry
Other than that, I usually commit to 2-3 fiction works a summer. Also plan to re-read Into the Wild soon.

The Front...Pat Cornwell....next will be Patterson's new book "Sail".
-
I'm not sure what I'll pick up as I'm currently focusing my time on other activities than reading. Though, as my travel picks up, I'm sure I'll grab something off of the bookshelf.
-
I also have read much of David Sedaris, Me Talk Pretty On Day, Holidays On Ice, Dress your family..., and Naked. I will have to pick the new on up. I really love his humor and I am also a fan of his sister Amy on Strangers With Candy.
Currently I have Scar Tissue - Anthony Kiedis on my night stand but I have not started it yet. I am a huge RHCP fan.
And IRDSM, Sidartha is a great book.
On audio book I am listening to Deepak Chopra - The Book Of Secrets: Unlocking the Hiden Dimensions in your Life
Really good inspirational stuff.

Currently reading "If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans" by Ann Coulter (hey, it's MY reading list).
After I finish that, the next book I have teed up is "The Code...The Unwritten Rules of Fighting & Retaliation in The NHL" by Ross Bernstein.
Oh, and like Bald Andre, I read the posts here on SBG.

Currently reading Teeth of the Tiger by Tom Clancy. Just finished Mask Market by Andrew Vachss, good crime fiction writer.

You ever read any of Michael Savages books?
-
Yes, I've read two of his books. "The Enemy Within" and the "Liberalism" book.
I don't want to offend anyone with the title.
-
Just read Duncan Fallowell: Going as far as i can; because i want to travel to NZ in autumn.
Now I'm reading another time John Irving: Owen Meaning.
My next book is Michael Cunningham: Specimen days. I tried it 2 times, but it's difficult for me.

I read Liberalism, great book. I have been listening to him since about 1998, one of the few talk show guys that I really enjoy.

I have that one in my queue as well. Just can't seem to get around to it. The Hours, however, is brilliant.

i'm not 100% sly however i sport the buzz atm :D
Shantaram - Gregory David Roberts
Best book i've red so far this year

I started the new Sedaris book (When You Are Engulfed in Flames) yesterday in the car (on audiobook). I've only gotten part of the way through the first disc, but it's had some very funny bits so far.
One of the first stories is about how people have become irrationally germ-phobic. Not laugh-out-loud funny, but funny and insightful nonetheless.

And am studying this in preparation for my upcoming ordination. ^^^

Gotta get a copy of Cool Jew. O0 I'm a Gentile adopted into an extended family of secular Jews. It's turned me into a serious Jew-wannabe. Every now and then I pick up a copy of Heeb, just for the sardonic humor and biting satire.
All the best with your ordination studies.

The Bait of Satan by John Bevere

Found today in the bookstore: Michael Tolliver lives! by A. Maupin.

I just read "Golf Monster" by Alice Cooper (he's a scratch golfer).
I was never a real fan of his music, but I have a new found respect for him. Guy was pretty friggin' cool.
I was much more interested in the musical part of the book than the golf part.
