OK, guys -- time to 'fess up. Did anybody here, besides me, violate the 30 day rule the first time you shaved your head? I did, about 3 or 4 times, because I felt too self-conscious about what other people thought. But every time my hair grew back, I would think that if I'd only stuck with it, I'd be used to it by now. In the end, all I did was prolong the agony; I'd have been much better off if I'd committed to the 30 days the first time. Just something I'd do differently if I had it to do over.

No looking back here. The longest I have gone with our shaving is an occasional "no-shave" saturday. After just a day I start remebering what "Pre-SLY" was like. :/O
-
Only one time I did. I shaved back in early Oct for like a week. Then grew it back out. But in Nov. I was like you know what this is what I want to do! And I have been sly ever since!
-
Once the blade has hit my noggin....it hits it everyday...and occasionally I skip a day....but never enough to say Im growing my hair back. Timmay

... as soon as the "deed" was complete...there was no looking back. sly 4 life 8) O:O O0

Man... I think I invented that rule way back when ;) just kiddin'...uh, maybe
You know I probably broke it...not sure...
but I know I always recommend it to any dude trying the SLY way of life! 8)
It's a must!
-
so far the longest I've gone is a day before scraping it clean again
-
Nah..... i do skip a day occasionally though...........
-
Never did. Didnt have to wait 30 days: i was hooked as soon as i shaved it the first time. Might have left it every other day at first, but after about a week i was shaving every day, and havent looked back since! that will be two years ago on 4th July. O0

Since being sly the only time that I stopped shaving was when I had surgery. I was in the hospital for a few days then stuck on the couch at home for a another week. I didn't shave anything for that period but as soon as I was up and arond I shaved it right off.
*Now and then I will occasionally miss a few weekend days but that is it
-
No way, Razor. When I first shaved I couldn't get enough bro! O:O
Didn't start skipping days until a few months thereafter.
-
nope, i have only missed one day. having the noggin smooth is necessary.
-
In the past the most I've lasted was a few days. Every time I grow it out I think about shaving it again. So for the last two weeks I've been shaving and hope to keep it. I love he feeling, and I think it looks good on me.
-
Sorry I think it may have been me.
Oh, that was an automatic response when something gets broken around our house.
I shaved my head for years and then went 10 months without and hated every minute of it. I shave everyday and feel so much better

The odd time I'll skip a day, but never more than one except for when I had that bad sunburn. I had to let it go for 5 or 6 days then till I was able to take the razor to it again.

No problem. You can still recover. I did, despite a couple of failed attempts. ;)
-
Haven't missed a day yet. Don't want to either!!!!!! 8)

I shaved my hair and grew it out. Played around with different lengths of shavedness. My biggest problem was ease of shaving and being able to get the super short shave without looking like a horror movie extra.
-
about a month ago i was doing just that.....i had watched the departed and thought hey jack looks real crazy with his crappy hair maybe i'll grow mine out like his so i can be nuts too! i woke the frick up when a hottie at work said i look bald when i let my hair grow out and that its better shaved
-
Nope, not me. Once I scraped that bad boy that was it. 8) No looking back. Jeez I think I might scare some people if I were ever to try to grow my hair back. ;)
-
Not yet,,,of course I am just a newbie. I skip a day every now and then though.....

OK BEN GETS BANNED! LOL he gave no excuse why he skipped....lol
-
No, never did...

Shaved my head the first time, and never looked back, best decision I ever made. Then, in 1995 I had to have surgery done on my left shoulder, that left me unable to raise my arm above shoulder height. The same injury that injured my shoulder also broke my right arm. Hence I was unable to shave the Noggin' by myself for about 9 months. I did try to go as often as I could to the Barber shop, but, his boss was a prick and did not like him shaving my head, so my barber would try to make it to my house as often as he could......longest 9 months of my life...... :*)) 8) O:O

Never skipped a day in 10 months. I wasn't concerned about my appearance Sly, I was just not going w/ the "balding" look, it's what I really wanted to be rid of. My just ended 8/17-8/24 non-shaved days started to bring that "balding" anxiety back, and I got a similar feeling of relief last night but not as overwhelming as last October. That feeling of freedom, liberty, clean--why would anyone not keep it up. I can't share any understanding of not keeping it up. For me, at least, it's just not a desire at all.
