I'm envious of your recent holidays in Corfu.  I was there a few years ago and loved it.  In the autumn I'm going to spend a week with friends in San Francisco, my favourite American city.  In the winter of 2009 I'm having my winter holidays in Curacao, Netherland Antilles. (Just off the South American coast, near Venezuela)

Goin' on a road trip to California July 11 to the 18th.....the wife works for Hyatt, so we get free stays all along....will save us about $2,000 in lodging and meals.

Gonna stop in New Mexico, say "hi" to PigPen.....then on to Long Beach to hang with family and ol' friends...L.B. is my ol' stompin' grounds. O0

Already there.  Once school gets out it is up to the Upper Penninsula for the rest of the summer with a short interruption for the convention this year.

We're going to the Blue Ridge Mountains camping in July..... for a week. We'll tow the camper down and plant it for a week. We'll be visiting Luray Caverns while there.

Newport, Rhode Island here for the Jaz Fest in August; I blew almost my whole allotment of vacation money when I went to Augusta for the Masters in April.

Kids' activities make summer trips difficult. However, Team Schro is going to Mazatlan for a week from July 5 - 12. The Lovely Mrs. Schro's birthday is during that week, so we'll be having mucho "Beer in Mexico" (great Kenny Chesney song). Should be a good time.

I won't be making it to Chicago for the SBG Convention since wife's family is having a four day reunion (i.e. homebrew and margarita bender) that weekend. I have been assigned scheduling the golf outing, so I'm likely going to combine golf and some winery stops in the Napa Valley. Rough job, but someone's gotta do it!  O0

We'll probably make several mini-vacations (2 or 3 days at a time) up to Lake Tahoe during the summer. I know the Sierras are known for skiing, but I love Tahoe in the summer.

Indeed Schro, Sounds like  you are going to have a horrible time drinking homebrew, margaritas,Schrotinis and playing golf and going on wine tours.

You will need another vacation after the re-union bro!

My daughter just spent a week in San Fran and up in the Napa Valley. She visited most of the wineries. I asked her if she found any wines she liked and she advised me that she hadn't found any that she didn't like....LOL

I'm glad she made it home safely. If she hit most of the wineries, that's a lot of grape juice!  dr!#k

Well, actually, she just did the winetaster thing. Wines are her hobby.

I just got back from a 2 week vacation on Maui.  The scuba diving is so amazing down there.

It is amazing how one can spend 2 weeks in the sun and still come home with the same pasty white complexion.
