HAHA I already know the answer... :*))
Guess I'll never learn that being open and honest scares dudes off LOL
-
It SHOULD be a deal breaker, but some guys don't respect themselves enough to say no....So it's a personal thing. But by the 2nd date
1) I may or may not know if you can cook
2) You may still be putting up an facade as it relates to your intelligence, which is a damn important thing.
3) I definently don't know your 2 other friends and their sexual history or prowess.
4) Don't know if you swallow yet and I refuse to be wasted.
5) Don't know your general demeanor towards men and if you are respectful or not towards them.
6) Don't know if you're a gift giving girl. And gift giving women are for the motherfuc*ing win.
7) Don't know if you are adventurous enough to keep hanging out with me.
8) and finally, by the second date, I definitely haven't made you work hard enough for it.
But yea, I would ask him.

I would have to say that open and honest only scares momma's boys and true players off
-
hehehe Guess my problem is I don't know when to hold back. I've been single for a long time by choice and during that time, my married friends let me hang with them. It's been a good thing. No emotional issues with meeting single guys. But heck I'm ready to be in a relationship again and some how I screw it up by introducing them to my friends. Because open and honest is JUST how we are. It's all just fun! If I held back and not told prospects that I am into swinging, I wouldn't be honest now would I? SO whats the best way to meet a guy with out holding too much back or giving too much. What if later they found out and freaked out. Yeah some guys Do freak out. Been there done that.

ok i don't feel so bad. ha ha ha

In my younger days I sometimes dated more than one woman concurrently but was never with more than one at a time. Looking back that was definitely for the best, being confined in a closed room with 2 angry and unsatisfied women could have become really dangerous for my health in a very short time.
But I would definitely be up front about what you like. Maybe even on the first date. Better to find out early that it creates a problem for a potential mate than after you have become emotionally invested in that person and then have them run off.
But I'm betting that you already knew that.
-
hehe Pburke.. Well in that case.. hmm you got any single friends looking?
Buddha... I do know already. Thats whats sucks. I guess I just posted out of frustration. Being honest and up front is an obstacle.
I don't want a swinging relationship... I want my own man. It's just I feel the need to make sure that when I meet someone they know that most of my married friends have been sex friends while I'm single. But that is what scares them off and/or they just want a hit and run. Which is fine by me if thats what they decide after hearing that, but I'm not always looking to ADD to those kinds of friends. Does that make sense? I don't need more sex friends. I want a relationship! But try to be honest and upfront. Sucks to be me!
-
If you don't want a swinging relationship right now maybe you should focus on that when you go on a date, I get that you want to be honest and tell them about who you are from the start, but it might be confusing for the men? Maybe they are thinking thats what you will expect of them in the future and thats why they freak out?
I think you gotta know when hold em and know when to fold em, maybe you just need to be in the moment and enjoy their company and not tell them every intimate detail from your past relationships if moving forward what you want is to be in a relationship with just THAT man - then tell him when its appropriate.
I guess when its the "right" man he wont care, he would be so into you that it wont matter! You just gotta find him!
So glad I don't have to "date" I don't think I would know how to! haha

yeah, but they look like me! and that is scary! :*))

Yes.
Nothing says "You're not interesting" like "Do you mind we if have two other folks along?"
I think, as a rule, foursomes are fine... in your 35th year of marriage.
If you're even thinking about it, give the guy a break and cut him loose.

FunshinePa...From what I gather from your posts here on the Sly Bald Guys forum, you sound like a very smart woman, and you seem to know what you want. That said, I hope you want someone that just wants YOU. Someone that wants to get to know everything about you, and his whole world would revolve around you, and your world would revolve around him. That type of relationship is very hard to handle, but the effort is worth it. I gather from your avatar that you are one hell of a beautiful woman, and you probably turn heads where ever you go. If you were to find a man that would want to share you, then he isnt the one for you......I would never want to share my woman with anyone (sexually speaking, or emotionally). And I would fight any man that would try to interfere with or relationship.
What I'm saying is Don't sell yourself short.......there are real good men out there, WE are just hard to find! :@`
-
hehehehe the replies are very interesting. I've done several group situations. My ultimate relationship will be about me and the person I'm dating. When that recent situation happened the other guy was cut loose. We've actually gotten to be pretty good friends now. But really I have no intentions of selling myself short. If a man can't give me what I already give myself, he's gonna have a hard time snagging me. I go in spurts, sometimes I'm compromising and most other times I'm tough! But I guess thats why I'm still single after 8 years of being divorced/10 years single.
-
well look who stuck their nose in the door............
-
Been busy my friend! As you can see from the other thread. :-)

Well, nothing is easy about relationships. It is best to be honest up-front instead of them getting upset later down the road. You just have to keep looking and eventually the right one will come along. Yes, I know it is hard to be that patient sometimes. Good luck.

Not to put a damper on the subject of swinging and I believe what anyone does in the privacy of their home with other consenting adults is their business but I was just curious if the concern of STD's ever comes into mind?

I am sure it does, but most think it will happen to someone else and not me.

Comes up the same as two people getting together... Just because there are more then one, doesn't mean that gets thrown out. Geez...
