Title: shaving with electric razor
Post by: mancho on May 22, 2008, 05:53:30 PM
Hey guys, I'm not a true bald guy, I've been using clippers to keep my head at stubble length.  I actually prefer to have a little stubble, mainly because I have a few moles that look less conspicuous, but I want to switch to an electric razor hoping it will be easier and to be able to do it in the shower. So I picked up a Panasonic ES8043SC Wet/Dry.

If I'm not too concerned about getting the closest shave, do you think I should still use some kind of lubricant to avoid irritation? The instructions say it recommends foam instead of gels, oils, etc. but looking at other peoples' advice it seems they don't really stick to that.

Well, the razor maker should know what will and won't work best with their product but I'd say experiment and see for yourself.

I was thinking of using an electric to touch up spots as needed...what type of electric works well on the dome? Not sure if I should look into a foil electric or the rotary type.

I know someone that uses a balding shaver or something, they got it at walmart, they said it works for them. I prefer the smooth look.
