Title: few questions for the sly...
Post by: riverdude on May 04, 2008, 12:10:25 AM
hey guys.....so recently shaved my head to a zero a few months ago and gonna do that for a little while longer cause i like the shaved head with the scruff look....im starting to think that a full blown head shave with a mach would look better....im just thin on the temples but finding myself liking it shorter everyday and well, after a zero theres just the last step....i naturally have a high hairline and think that the sly would look cleaner.....any input on someone that kept the zero and found they wished they'd done the sly sooner?....thanks everyone on any suggestions....and yes i do realize that this is a sly forum and already expect certain responses but just curious about experiences

Hey! I've kept the Zero for about two years before going sly, and I'm glad I finally did.

I just love it so much, as does pretty much every other guy on this site. One thing I can say is shaving with the grain makes it bald, but leaves that "shadow", a little rough stuff, if you're unsure if you'll like the full blown smooth. I prefer the rough a bit, and I think it looks better on me, as does it reduces the shine.

You could always shave it once, and if you don't like it, it will be back to zero length in a week no doubt, All you have to do is try.....

Hope my comments help

I rolled with the zero for about a year and to this day day i wonder what the hell was I thinking all a zero is is a couple of days velcro from a great sly dome. If your at zero now go for it like Tucker and I said its only a coupple of days till your back to zero. But you should allways give it the 30 day trail to really know if its you or not.

A zero is just like using the wahl balding clipper IMO

Go for it, but beware, the smoothness and slickness is addictive.   ;D

Once bitten by the slickness....you wont be going back to the zero unless its by accident or y ou dont shave for a day or two.  I think anyone who is slick now will tell you ...we all wish we had done it sooner.  Good luck bro...post up a pic

Go for it, riverdude. Slick and smooth is the best way to go, and once you do you will definitely be saying why didn't I do this sooner!
Welcome to the SBG site, and let us know how you progress.
