hello fellow chrome domes: just the other day i was late for an appointment. there was a never-ending train that caused me 2 B late. >:( so... how 'bout U? what things, situations, people that make U late? what's your story?

Punctuality is big in the House of Schro. To us, being late is a sign of disrespect to the other people you're meeting. When we're late, it's something that's completely out of the blue (car trouble, health emergency, etc.)

This is a pet peeve of mine too. I can not stand tardiness, especially before big plans. A good friend of mine and his wife are notorious for this.
I used to have a problem sleeping through my alarm clock but having a little boy ,no need for that anymore. He is the best alarm clock in the world. Every day,regardless of a power failure, he will get us up at 6-7am sharp.

I can't stand lateness either. Much like SCHRO..... it's a sign of disrespect in my mind.
Coaching Little League I see lateness all the time. No respect for the team and the other kids by some parents..... same ones all the time.
Last week was Opening day so to ensure no lateness on Opening day I had a little fun at the parents expense. I pulled the kids of each of my teams on the side and told them not to be late for the Parade on Opening day. They had to be at the Parade meeting place by 8:30 AM but i told them that if their parents weren't up by 6:00AM to go in and jump on them to wake them up. :*)) :*))
Well you know kids...... a bunch of them did just that!! O0 O0 I laughed my ass off when the parents told me that the kids said that I told them to do that!!!!

Can't stand to be late and can't stand people who are rude and are late. It is just common courtesy to be where you need to be, when you need to be there.

I hate being late and I hate it when other people are late.
However I'm not always very organised so can spend some time rushing to make sure I'm on time.
I'd rather get somewhere early and have to sit around and wait.

the THING that makes me late is my wife. the only thing she will not be late for is her own funeral. which i hope is a very very long time away. she is always late for everything. drives me crazy.

My wife is totally different. It is just about the only thing we argue over. She can't be on time if she has 2 hours to get ready (always needs 2 hours and 10 minutes). :Xo!

I'm with you all the way on this one herronm. O0 I have always went by the same motto and always will. It's my feeling, especially for work, that if you show up right at the time you are supposed to be clocking in then you are late. Because you have to account for the time it's going to take you to get into the building, get ready to work, etc...I can't stand people being late for anything. My wife has calmed me down a bit about this since we've met. But I use to get up and walk out of a movie theater to get my money back if people would come in late after the movie started. Then when I use to work I always had at least one co-worker that would come in late all the time. One day they came in and said, "Sorry man, hung out too late last night and couldn't get enough sleep." Who's frickin' problem is that. Take responsibility. If you are going to "hang out" like that then know that you are going to have to be adult enough to get your butt up and drag it into work on time. Let me stop. I could go on about different situations all day. Uhhh...Yeah, but I HATE tardiness.

No ..not here..my wife she is a saint on getting ready compared to my 14 year old daughter. Im late for work everyday because I have to wait on her ass to get ready for school. It will be like 5 minutes before 8 and she will still be walking around looking for her shoes. What ticks me off is when time runs that short...she will even come back down stairs in another outfit.....Like we have freakin time for that. So I wil have to say its my daughter....

Oh,the perfect subject. I can't tell you how many people I've associated with over the years who were notorious for being late. Like you said,it's rude and disrespectful.The ironic part is that I'm never late.I always allow myself extra time to get someplace in case there's trouble with transportation. In my opinion the people who are always late are probably people who are very self centered and think the world revolves around them.The once or twice when there was trouble with the trains I was only about 5 minutes late and when I met the person they were getting ready to call my house on their cell phone. And it was only 5 minutes! On the other hand I have waited for some people as long as a half hour and they give me some flimsy excuse as to why they are late with not much regret in their voice,yet when I was 5 minutes late they got impatient,but they think nothing of it if I had to wait for them.
When you're too nice a guy these louses take you for granted.Believe me I wish I could do the same to them and see how they like it.

I was late for work yesterday.
Bad day in the office on Thursday meant working late. Friday morning was warm and sunny, so I decided to chill out and take the bike. I only live a mile rom my office but somehow I clocked up over 30 miles on my route in.
I felt better though.

Road Construction .... School buses that stop and wait for kids to come out the front door, across the yard, and to the bus. Whatever happened to standing by the road ?

Sometimes in the morning I get caught up watching Foxnews and lose track of time. Its a good thing I make my own schedule!

I make no plans...ever. Thus I am never late. :)
