Hi Everyone,
I'm new this board. Just started shaving my head recently (St. Patrick's Day was the first time). Love the fact that a board like this exists to offer plenty of advice and tips from all you veteran head shavers.

Do you have a bottle of aloe vera gel in the fridge?
That's a SLY secret. It's very soothing for your newly SLY noggin'.
This time of the year I suggest you get one with an SPF.

;D Well, I joined the sly side for a couple of reasons:
1) I was beginning to go bald anyway, so I figured, let me shave it while I still feel like its my choice to go bald.
2) I play hockey and snowboard, and having a shaved head is great since wearing a helmet in hockey and beanie in snowboarding begins to hurt the scalp and hair. Long hair just gets pulled and caught and it's a real pain.
3) There is nothing I hated more than having to style my hair with gel or wax or whatever. Now it's wake up and I'm good to go.
4) I've always loved rocking my Boston Red Sox hats, and now hat head is NEVER a worry

Thanks for the welcome everyone. This site really is great. In just a day I've picked up some useful tips.
And just to add another reason why I went sly, or more so why I'll stay sly: Once I did it, I realized I look a lot more bada** 8)
