I wish I could grow a sweet Goatee or soulpatch or beard or something. The only thing I am allowed to have in the service is a Moustache and sideburns. No sideburns with a bald head. To get a moustache within regulations is a pain. So I am stuck clean shaven.
One good thing is I go on leave to see my dad in FL next weekend and am Def growing a sweet Goatee. It will be the first time since becoming sly. O0

What's the problem with a stache? When I was in the Infantry, I kept a stache without problems.

If it was me I would grow some sideburns only and kinda angle then to a point or like a lightning symbol!!
Just a stashe doen't look right in my opinion.

Well the stache is within regs, but to have one they way they want it is a pain. It cant come over your upper lip, and extend past the corners of your mouth.

When I was in, I used to grow a goatee out everything I went on leave...
And for about the first 8 years in the Navy I had a cheesey, military reg mustache... I look at pics now and go "WTF was I thinking??" :/O

Dan, you're close! You said it as a question, when it's a statement.
Also, from what I've ascertained, the Navy is more detailed in some of these areas vs. the other services.
There was even a time, back before the 1980s, when the Navy had beards (of course, with lots of rules). I think a few years ago (Decades? Centuries?), they had grog too! They gave up the grog and added women. Depending on who you talk to, that's an interesting swap. Fair? I think you could get more work out of sailors with grog, than sailors with women; but that's debatable too.
