Before I went completely bald, I used to trim my head with clippers. I started by using a clipper that had different guards. I eventually went to a professional clipper made by Andis. Though, this razor did not have the guards. Instead it had an adjustable blade.
What are you using to trim your hair?
-
im using a big red pair of Osters that i got for 10 cents at a garage sale. bargain! i bought three blades to fit onto it,and the sound of it whirring as it passes over my head is a thrill that cant be ignored.
-
i use the wahl balding clipper here in uk if i grow some hair 2 buzz off otherise its the mach 3 razor
-
I have a real nice CONAIR® full clipper set with cape and all, that mostly I use on my 8 yr old lil guy, who like the crew cut, hehe, not-so-much needed here anymore... unless I get lazy for a couple weeks and the wife says "Honey, you really need to shave your head."  lol ouch!  :D
-
I've got a little cheapy clipper I use to trim the goatee and mustache. Picked them up at Wal-Mart for about $15 including guards and accessories and stuff. It runs on two AA batteries and I change them about every 4-6 months. Depends on how much use they see.
-
i have a wahl clipper to trim the goatee but i dont nee clippers for my head because my head is shaved with the mach 3 or fusion every day
-
Wahl Designer. Have had it for 7 or 8 years now to keep my beard or goatee in check ("long" #1 guard). Also to keep the hair short (#3 on the sides - #4 on top). Will use it on "short" setting, no guard, in preparation for the Headblade chromedome shave.
-
Hi all!
I just use a standard hair clippers set to the lowest setting about once a week. Gets it nice and short.

Welcome to the group, Blagadán! It's a great site with lots of info.

Latha math dhut, Brother!
Great having you with us. I like the Irish - solid drinkers. Hung out with some of
them to learn how to drink and how to keep my liquor. But I couldn't keep up with them...
You're not going to make me drink any more, are you?
Again, welcome to the forum! Looking forward to reading your posts.

Thanks wpruitt, ar3inc & happyharry, nice to 'meet' you all. :)
happyharry, wrong Gaelic but close enough :) That's Scottish Gaelic I believe. In Irish we'd simply say "dia dhuit". Nice gesture, go raibh maith agat (thanks).
-
Oh my god, that was a huge faux pas. That's French, meaning, I screwed up.
-
Not at all :) The problem is many people refer to both languages by the same name, plus they are VERY close anyway, so it doesn't matter. As I said, nice gesture :)
-
Thanks. I didn't know there was yet another Gaelic language/dialect apart from the one spoken in Ireland.
I guess I'll have to check out your blog to learn more about it... :)
Take care.

There's 3 actually, Scottish Gaelic, Irish and Manx. :)

This so kicks we're get language leasons! I have a hard enough time writing English. I have really applied effort to writing in others.

I can see that. ;D

Thanks for proving the point. Or pointing it out. I don't get it sometimes. I can speak three languages but write very well. Well, at least I have improved after 5 semesters of English classes (yes, some of them were repeated class, and all lower division).

Don't sweat it. We all have things we struggle at.

I gotta hand it to you guys....and everyone else on this site. You all (we all) keep everything at the level of good-natured ribbing and friendly exchanges....not letting things dissolve into polemics and argumentation.
I've seen other posting forums that are nothing but a bunch of foul language, mean-spirited bashing exchanges.
Has anyone else noticed this?

W, in your neck of the woods there are quite a few bars that take quite a bit to get kicked-out. Speaking from experience. ;)
-
Hell yeah - and they are all on Victory Drive in Columbus and over in Phenix City AL!
You sound like you know from experience!!
-
I spent a night or two one VD drive. ;)
-
You would not have been officially stationed at Benning if you had not ... and I hope you did not pick up any diseases. I've driven down Victory Drive at night - and it ain't called VD for no reason at all!!

I use Wahl Balding clippers. It's the closest electric razor I've found. I'm to lazy to shave every day.
