Guys It is getting warmer out now in AR and the sun is out more. I never really took sunscreen serious for me head because I started shaving it in the winter. I have tried HeadShade and thought it was ok. I noticed some freckles appearing on my head and dont want to get anymore. What exactly do yall use? O0

I really like Bald Guyz Sunscreen Gel... not greasy and SPF 30+. O0

I have the Bald Guyz sunscreen for the noggin'.
I also picked up a Banana Boat lotion called "Sun Wear Faces". Both have an spf of 30, and UVA/UVB protection. I will let you know what I think when I use it (Banana Boat).
I don't like a greasy feel so I'm hoping it lives up to the ultra sheer, clean feel it advertises on the tube.

Hey XNY, I also use Banana Boat. I love the Sport Performance Dri-Blok SPF 30. Nice scent, works well, and not greasy.

Banana boat works well for my also, make sure it is at least spf 30... O0
-
I use the Target brand...of 30-50 spf...
at this point i just don't want any freckling to mess up the perfect slick dome ;).....
but alas.....I have some freckling due to stupid youth and my desire to have a skinned, really nicely tanned head way back in the early days...
if I had known i would have settled for a shiny white perfect, non- flawed dome instead of a few weeks of a real dark tanned melon! :-[
a short lived tan is NOT worth it bros!

I just got back from the Dominican and I brought both HeadShade and Banana Boat 30. I really liked the Banana Boat, plus it's a 30 where HeadShade was only a 15.

Coppertone Sport works for me. It comes in 15, 30 and 50 SPF. I use the 50 SPF. Nongreasy and blocks both UVA and UVB rays. It came with a smaller travel size attached...good to keep in the car, golf bag or travel kit.

This is the Sunblock that I use.

Dont if it is available or sold in the USA. Very cheap at only $7.00. I reapply every 3 hours if I am outside in the sun for an extended period of time.
It also gives a nice shine.

Banana Boat SPF 30 Ultra Sunblock works great for me. I too have freckles -- don't know quite when I got them, but I think it was before I went sly.

I will fall guilty to this. I learned this past weekend...DONT TAKE ANY CHANCES. I was hanging vinyl siding and decided I would go 1 day ..just 1 day without any sunscreen. Cause I have the white winter cap on my head from this past winter which sucked butt. Anyways...come sunday I was feeling the burn a little on my head. Most of the day sunday I wore a hat cause I didnt have any sunscreen in the house and I went and bought some on monday. Well today is Wednesday and I get up to get in the shower and my head looks like freakin Winter Wonder Land...you guessed it...peeling. I didnt burn that much...just a little tender.
So what I am saying here bro's...dont take the chance. IT is very very IMPORTANT that you wear sunscreen no matter how bad you want that nice bronze look on your noggin. I dont think anyone can stress it enough on how important it is. Here it isnt even summer yet....and we are already dealing with it. Take care of that noggin...
Timmay!

I agree Tim. I was out a few weeks back doing the yardwork, (lawn etc. ).
As you know the sun is relentless out here, but I figured it was early, so I skipped the sunscreen. Not a good idea, and I found out later I did have a burn. Not too bad, but definitely a bit uncomfortable. And then a few days later comes the peeling, which as some of you may already know makes shaving a little rougher, with all the dead skin being picked up by the blades. Makes for a more time consuming and sloppier shave.
So, make sure you apply that sunscreen to the domes fella's!, for the health of your scalp, now and down the road.

I've been using an Aveeno brand for a few years now that's always worked good. Not greasy, good SPF, and being Aveeno you know it isn't going to clog pores. But I have been thinking of trying the Bald Guyz brand out. I've heard good things about it and I've used their other products in the past.

Likewise, the Coppertone for me. I use the travel bottle when I'm out in the kayak. What I like best about it is it doesn't run down into my eyes when wet either from sweat or water splashes on the river.

The weather finally got sunny here today and I went to the console of my car to get my sunscreen to keep my dome protected. I realized that I was almost out so I made a quick trip to Wally World.
Looking at everything they had, I saw that Banana Boat has a new product that is a spray and it said on the label that is was made for the scalp. First time I have seen anything like that, unless it came from Bald Guyz. I checked their website and couldn't find it listed or even a pic. Has anyone else ran into this stuff????

I finally found it on their website. It's called Banana Boat Sport Quik-Dry Body and Scalp SPF 30. It looks pretty good.

I think my sunscreen this season will consist of a cap with one of those umbrellas attached to it....

Timmy, I noticed your hat was "red and white" so at least you'll be color coordinated. And I must say that everyone will be commenting on you great sense of fashion. :*))

I saw that one and a bunch of other sprays at Super Wally's. My concern with the sprays is waste. I figure I'm spending enough money on the sunblock without shooting half of it off target, and I know that's what will happen.

I use the Bald Guyz sun screen also, it has a nice scent to it as well, it gives you an awsome shine, that I love. O0

I spray it into my hand and then smooth it onto the dome. No waste!!!

I used Bald Guys sunscreen this weekend while working in the yard and it seemed to do the trick.
But, for the heck of it checked consumer reports (I have online subscription) and their most highly rated sunscreen was "Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 45". The only problem with that is it's expensive. Saw online for $10 / 3 oz tube. Then, saw it in BJ's Wholesale at $15 for 2 tubes, so I picked it up. I'll report my findings after using ...
Consumer Reports identified their "Best Buy" as "No-Ad Sunblock Lotion Maximum SPF 45", which is MUCH less than the neutrogena and seemingly as effective, according to their evaluations.

My wife bought me a bottle of spray Panama Jack SPF 30 in a blue bottle. I used in this past weekend on Opening Day for Little League. I was out in the hot sun literally from 7:00 AM until the sun went down. I re-lubed once in the middle of the day. No burn at all. Good stuff....

I too use Aveeno 55. Non-greasy, moisturises. Doesn't clog pores and doesn't seem to leech into the eyes when sweating.
