So while headbladding this morning, I cut myself pretty bad. My first one since I went sly. I've used the same blade 8 different times now (by using yalls advice and drying it out after each use and pouring some alcohol over it) but I don't think thats the problem. I think I just put too much pressure on the blade and pissed it off. I usually shave Mon-Wed-Fri. With this injury, when should I next shave? Do I really have to stop for a while? Any advice any one can give me? Pics below.

Hey Son, ouch, that looks pretty bad, bro.
I would not shave over that area for a few days to let it fully heal. You can still shave around it though, just make sure you leave the area with no cream or gel so you'll know where to avoid.
It would probably help to put some first aid cream or liquid bandage over it, maybe even one of those little round bandages to help with making sure you steer clear of the cut when shaving.
Or you can just damn it all to hell and not shave for a week? ;)

It happens to all of us at one point or another.
I would suggest keeping it clean and trying to shave around it or take a couple of days off until it heals.
I had the same thing happen to me when I was rushing through a shave recently, took about a week to heal. I kept trim with a beard trimmer and after a few days I was shaving again.

One can shave around it with the headblade around THAT area? Hmmmm, this should be fun. Time to see how coordinated I truly am with one hand on a mirror getting the reflection off of another mirror and the other hand on my headblade.

I was just saying on another thread that I use an electric around the cut area then hold a finger on it as I carefully use my HeadBlade on the rest of my pate. O0

Funny! I just posted about the same thing in another section. Mine is almost exactly in the same place, just different side. I feel your pain bro....it's still burning.
I shave in the shower w/out a mirror, and think Sgt's suggestion of putting a finger over it when shaving is good advice. Thanks Sarge! It's gonna be tricky.
My new routine....hold that finger there, HeadBlade in the left hand, stand on one foot, face North.... !@#$% :*))

Sorry, I just had a Braveheart flashback.
Looks like that one hurt bro! I'd also go with the electric in that are until it heals.

Yeah, what Schro said. Just get real f'd up and you won't feel a thing. I promise. Now what I can't promise is what your head will look like in the morning. ;D ;D ;D
J/K Sorry to hear about the nick. It happens to all of us. That HB cab be tricky. Use the advice of the other slys and you should be fine.

The finger thing does work well...Man do those head cuts bleed !!! g@@4

What's even worse are cuts to the ear.
Trying to stop those things from bleeding is like capping an oil well.

Hang in there SOK, This will be the first of many. But the end result is worth it. It does get better with practice.
