I have noticed I have these corners on the front of my hair you know that V or M shape or receding hairline, whatever it's called. But otherwise I have nice thick and flaky hair. But does it mean it's a beginning of end? And not to mention last week I notice one gray hair on my beard how freaky is that? As for my genes nobody has greyed past 40 something and the only guys in my family who had hairloss are my father whose started in early 30s which was the crown and corners got more noticeable and now he is 64 and you can definitely see he has thining hair but it ain't too bad unlike others who only have hair on the sides and my uncle (mothers' brother) started in the early 30s some and now he is 40 but didn't get worse. Everybody else in my family just had those corners but no hairloss. I been going through a lot of emotional stress because for the past few years because of some things one of them are health problems like severe acid reflux which makes me miserable and more.

Weiner,you're worrying needlessly.From the pictures of Johnny Depp you showed that hairline is very natural.Nobody's hairline is a straight line across their head. Everyone has a little indentation which is normal.I only wish I had your head of hair.Believe me you have nothing to worry about.

I know corners are nothing but I read MPB starts with that M shape and then it goes from there and this scared me.

First off, welcome bro. Dude, if your hair looks like Johnny Depps in those pics you showed you are worrying over nothing. Besides you don't need to worry anyway man. If you did happening to start thinning or going bald, which you definitely aren't from what you have shown, it's not a "bad" thing to be bald dude. It's very liberating. I actually like myself bald compared to old pics of me when I had a full head of hair. I'm sure a lot of other guys that have gone down the sly path feel the exact same way. So don't worry man. It may seem like it right now but it really is no biggie. I'm not trying to sound insensitive here. It's just that I have heard others with your story before and it always ends up good. Bald or not...Shaving or not....Stick around and make some new friends dude. Maybe we can convince you to
come to the sly side

I have a couple of friends who have had the V or M since high school and it's never receded any further. So, until you start seeing it recede further or get thinner, I wouldn't worry too much. Though, if you still can't get it out of your mind, give it a shave to see how you like the look. You'll easily be able to grow it back.

Well I assume that picture on the left is you if so then the bald look fits you well because you happen to be one of those big guy rugged manly man lol so a bald head just completes that persona. As for me I happen to be one of those pretty type boys and going bald will look really bad to me, hence I'm a type like Johnny Depp lol. Imagine if he goes bald he would look really retarted and that's me I'm talking about as well.
But then again thanks for coming my nerve guys. You see I happen to have the longer hair cut and today I backed it up and was like WTF!? I couldn't believe I had such corners.

You'd be shocked at how you really look bald. We hear it all the time here. Once guys do it they ALWAYS say, "I wish I would have done it sooner. "
I recently had a group of friends shave their heads in support of our friend with cancer. Even the "pretty boys" were shocked what they looked like and the comments they received.

Forgot to mention I did have an almost shaved look about 2 years ago and it looked really bad, and btw...what you guys did for your friend is really good man. He should be happy to have friends like you I hope he is still here.

Dude, I'm not trying to sound like a dick at all but you're nuts man. As most of us say around here, "There is no such thing as a bad looking bald head." But yeah sure, some guys can look better with the slick look. Guys that fit Johnny Depp's profile are probably some of the smoothest looking bald heads. Man, Johnny Depp is my favorite actor of all times. I would love to see him shave the dome. I know what you're saying about a bigger and tougher looking guy rockin' the sly look better. But that's just not true. Yeah sure, the bigger guy might look tougher but that doesn't make him look "better" with the bald head. You would be just fine if you ever decided to go the sly route.

You are right about one thing that a bald look can look to anybody of course you don't gotta be like a tough guy that a bald head will suit you. I have friends who don't look tough but their hair is maybe like 1/2 inch short and it suits them very well. but as for me like I said it'll look horrible I did it almost 2 years ago, I couldn't look at myself in the mirror for the next 3-4 months lol, And everybody constantly made comments too I didn't care it was fun but the appearance was awful and definitely no looks from the ladies :-X
Also here's another thing...when I was a teen I had tons of acne and it also looked really bad on me but I had friends their acne suit them well, now these days they have clear skin but for some reason they look better with the acne lol go figure...

For example, if you're bald but have a lot of confidence you're going to score with more chicks and be looked up to more than if you had a full head of hair and no confidence at all.

what's up bud. I'm just a year older than you so i know how freaked out it can get you. But i say if you're hairline looks like that pic try shaving it off. not all the way. use a number 4 or something on the buzzer and just see what you think. it'll grow back if you don't like it. and besides you can worry about it once it does start goin, if it ever does. don't fret too much over it. i used to think my hair defined how i was. turns out that's not the case at all. it's nothin but hair. and all in how you carry yourself.

I know I may have years to go but it's kinda weird to have corners like that at 21. I could understand if I was like in my late 20s or early 30s then that would be ok but at 21 it makes me believe once I'm in my late 20s/early 30s I will have a lot less hair, I just dunno. A few weeks I saw one gray hair on my beard. I dunno if it was coincidence or not but I don't think a gray hair just pops up for no reason. So it's only natural to get freaked out.

Everyone is different. Mother Nature doesn't care how old you are. Some of us begin losing hair at an early age. Some go gray early and keep all their hair. I started getting gray in my beard before I ever had any gray on my head. So whatever you have going on, don't think it's weird. We're all unique -- embrace what life brings you. And if the hair starts to go, go sly and enjoy life. But definitely, DON'T try to cover it up. It doesn't work and can only make you more paranoid about whether anyone can see what you are doing. Trust me, if you find yourself looking at people with bad combovers or bad attempts to deny the obvious, you will be no more successful than them. Welcome aboard.

Dude, I'm 23, and it started coming out, but I found the quick solution (trust me, if only all problems were that easy to solve)
Anyways, ask 100 girls what's attractive on a man and 100 times you will hear confidence. It's not about your hair, it's confidence. How else do you explain a guy like me getting women? I'm not a 10, but I damn sure walk around like I am (ha ha!).

According to www.baldingblog.com (yes, I have too much time on my hands these days), 95% of caucasion men will develope a "mature" hairline. The mature hairline is basically what Johnny Depp has in those pictures. The corners of the hairline recess somewhat, but it's not considered balding. According to the same website, which I believe is run by a Dr. Rasmussen, this can occur in men as early as puberty.
My hairline looks like that, or it did before I started shaving. I can't even remember when my hairline wasn't like that, and I'm 32. I wouldn't worry about it, but I guess if you really want to save your hair you could see a dermatologist, but I don't know if there are any gaurantees on that sort of thing.

I was 23(in 1983) when I shaved my head completely slick for the first time and I regret I waited that long(and I still have pretty much a full head of hair). So what if it falls out by itself? Just take the Schick to it
