In the words of our moderator and esteemed member Warhawk..hello fellow chrome domes.
Just wondering what your favorite fragrance or cologne is?
I have 3 that I wear and like equally.
Polo by Ralph Lauren,Aramis, and Aqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani. I have received as a birthday gift Polo Explorer which is pretty good. A subtle citrus scent.
What about you all?
-
Cod Liver Oil.....lol

Albiet crazy expensive I like CREED fragrances. Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountian Water, Vetiver, and Imperial are my faves. I have never gotten so many complimets from women and men since wearing this stuff. Great Stuff!
-
I wear Happy by Clinique. My wife loves it, so it makes her happy, which in turn makes me happy. It's a light citrus smell that gets me a lot of compliments.
-
I barely ever wear cologne. But if I do I still rock the old school Cool Water. Yeah, it's sort of yesterday I know but my wife loves the stuff.
-
Cool Water and Safari here. Get the most compliments from the Safari though.
-
My favorite fragrance is the smell of a freshly brewed pot of coffee in the morning.
But, I do own a bottle of Polo Sport. Glad cologne doesn't expire. I rarely use it and I've had it for quite a while.
I'd rather talk about women's fragrances.........always loved Obsession.
-
Nothing like a dab of Guinness............
Just kidding.......... I like Paul Sebastian and Drakkar Noir. My current flavor is Crush (a Liz Claiborne cologne for men)... my wife really likes it and it was a gift.
-
eternity by calvin klien
light blue by dolce and gabana
ashtray by marlboro
old bar by an old bar
-
I have three that I use...
Contradiction, Truth, and Obsession Night, all by Calvin Klein
-
Nightflight by Joop!
Cool blue bottles.

I wear the one MADE for me....BOD...Ripped Abs! LOL.....
-
Cool Water and Polo, I still have a bottle of Drakkar too (but I dont wear that anymore).
I do have to get a cologne / perfume thing that really makes me angry, why do some older women wear so much damn perfume that it is a good 20-30 foot cloud around them? I was bowling the other day and this lady's perfume was making me gag. I have worked with women that you can literally smell coming.... happens in the grocery store and stuff too... it seriously makes me nauseous.

seems like older, overweight women are the worst. maybe they are trying to over compensate for something.

I agree... I just want to take them out into the parking lot and hose them down for the sake of the rest of the world.
B.O. may smell worse but it is nowhere near the napalm like coverage these folks get...

I think you answered your own question there Marz.
Older women drown themselves in perfume to mask the unfortunate odors that age brings especially B.O. Quite often they will only wash their hair and have it done in a salon and this is sometimes a bi-weekly occurence sometimes longer.
My mother has been a beautician for 30 years and some of her long-time customers who she has seen for 20+ years will come in once a month to get their hair washed, colored and styled. Then they will not wash it again until they come in the next month.
And funny thing was, there are a few that stick out in my mind who did the "Bath in Perfume for a few hours" routine before they came into the shop. The smell would permeate into the walls and chairs.

And its always that damn cheap sh*t you can buy by the gallon at walmart. I get that all the time since about 75% of my clients are women shoping for carpet....My boss will walk in about an hour or so later adn say..." Did ya have a doozey?" I would look at him like..How could you guess? LOL

Cod Liver Oil
Timmmayy!
Cod Liver Oil? Yuck
LACOSTE POUR HOMME Cologne
ACQUA DI GIO for Men by Giorgio Armani
TOMMY BAHAMA for Men by Tommy Hilfiger
The smell of those older women is usually a mixed bag of some cheap strong scent compounded by extra hold hairspray. That's one lethal combination. I'll never forget my sixth grade teacher who had on the nastiest smelling perfume. Come to think of it she could have been wearing cod liver oil. @c3
-
the thing about cologne is that it smells different on different people. once you put it on, your body chemistry changes the way it smells.
-
I agree with Paulie for now I'll go with "ashtray: by Marlboro
-
i have stomache cramps.........we need a spray bomb in here please...STAT

You sick dog. :D

CKone, Joop! and my favorite of all time is the very old fashioned but classic 'Aramis' :)
-
I'm usually sporting the fantastic smell of Folger's, Marlboro, and Stetson. Am I the only one still admitting to using Stetson?

funny story about stetson. my son(7yrs) was at my brother in law's house a few weeks ago, and was given a botle of stetson by is uncle. he said thank you and then told me after he got home that it stinks. ha ha personnally i don't care for stetson, but i thought it was funny when he told me that.
-
I have about four that I alternate each day.
Kenneth Cole- Black
Ralph Lauren - Blue
Marc Jacobs Men
Facconable' Men, which I received from my in-laws at Christmas. Very nice, clean fresh scent.
-
I don't wear cologne very often. I bought a bottel of Lacoste a couple years ago that's almost gone.
-
Don't use cologne / aftershave ; although I used to wear patchouli oil quite a bit. Probably still have some around the house somewhere .

Its probably next to your bong... :*))
*my parents are ex-hippies and when I was about 15 I got some insence for my room (patchouli, of course) and I might as well had come home with a bong. "We know all about Patchouli" as they gave me the 3rd degree about marijuana and shook down my room. It was more an admittance of guilt on their part than evidence of contraban on mine. silly boomers.

Bay Rum. enough said.

Bay Rum huh? What brand do you use? I have been looking for Clubman Bay rum but cant find it. I bought some Bay Rum made by Masters from Sally's and it smelled like hot garbage
-
Like you I prefer the classics. The bay rum that I use is the Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum. I pick it up at Wallgreens. You can pick it up online at:

By the way, that is one of THE best web sites on the net for shaving. I still use an original badger hair brush and GEM double bladed razor from the 40's. Something about taking your time, using real tools, made for real men.
