hello fellow chrome domes... remember my post last year about "what were your 1st words immediately having your 1st headshave?" well... i thought it would B fun 2 discuss your 1st words when U rubbed ice on your dome 4 the very 1st time.
1st of all.... i enjoy that ice cold ice cube rub on the noggin'. :@` my 1st words immediately after my 1st ice cube rub: HOLY CRAP!!! THAT'S COLD (followed by a head shiver) (*!@
so... how 'bout U? do U still enjoy the ice cube rub on the dome? what were your 1st words immediately after your 1st ice cube rub on the dome? what's your story?

never done the ice cube thing, but the cool water rinse does feel nice.

are we allowed to actually type what we said? ....................ok here goes.....S.O.B. damn what the hell am i doing rubbing a freakin icecube on my head. The cold pain is about as bad as getting an icecream head pain! LOL
But ya know....I LOVE IT! I do it everyday.....that was the good thing about when we got those ice storms a few weeks ago. I would shave then just go stand out in the yard and let my dome get coated with ice. I believe at one time...I looked in the window and my wife was frantically dialing the mental institute hot line............

No cubes for me, but as mentioned by others a cold rinse does feel good... O0

Never done the ice cube rub.
The coldest stuff I've put on my dome is refrigerated aloe vera gel.
Very soothing and re-freshing. I think Timmmay recommended it.
It also leaves a nice shine. Thanks again Timmmay!

Not tried the Ice Cubes, but have tried dry Ice from my mates 'Disco' set up and if i remember right, it was "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

I do the same thing as schroman and mojim. Cold water rinse is fine for me. O0

My ice cube tray has been broken for awhile so I still havent had a chance to do this yet. Ice cold water rinse is a real eye-opener though.

But on an interesting side note, I came inside from 100-something degree Texas heat and rubbed ice on my noggin yesterday, and the dang thing cracked on the inside. I thought it was cool.
Sorta like the ice was letting me know that my SLY cut was some hot stuff :)
Anyone experienced the same thing? It's just like putting cold ice in a warm drink, and you hear it go all cracky and whatnot. Or seeing a cheapo plastic cup after you get done washing it :D

Funny this thread exists as I did this for the first time over the 4th of July weekend. We were camping in our seasonal spot as usual and were in a volleyball tournament, sun was blaring down on us. In between games I happened to sit next to the cooler and for whatever reason reached in and grabbed an ice cube. I didn't really feel anything (new head shaver so my scalp is still pretty numb), but it sure cooled me down.

It wasn't really anything crazy for me. Worked way better than turning the shower cold. THAT had me yelling and trying not to cuss! But the ice cube? I remember thinking "What's the big deal?"

I've commented on this before but since I've been out of the loop I'll say it again. It's the BOMB for me. I guess it's just personal opinion just like anything else. Just like what razor you like better or what shaving gel/cream. You know? For me, my body temperature goes up very quickly and I'm a shower shaver. So I spend a good amount of time in the hot shower. When I get out it takes forever for me to cool off. The ice cube on the dome hits the spot for me because I'm really killing two birds with one stone. I'm helping the dome out after the shave and cooling myself down.

Yeah, I can speak very quickly. It's part of my routine now. Once I'm done shaving I get out and use the ice cube and say everything in my previous post. You should try it. Now repeat after me...LOL. ;D :*))
