Hey men,
I'm sending my wife to Ft. Lauderdale FL this week for her spring break. I think she's going to try out for the Girls Gone Wild series. >:D Maybe Warhawk can keep an eye on her for me.
Anyhow, neither she nor I have ever flown on a commercial aircraft, and I don't know what information to put on the luggage tag. Name, address, phone number? What's needed?
Thanks sly bros!!!

Medic, don't put that info on the outside of your luggage -- as your bags circulate around on the conveyer belt, it can be a big red flag to would-be thieves that nobody is going to be home at your house. Put your name, address and phone number on a sticker and put it on the inside the bag, so if it gets lost, the airlines will know who to return it to.
For the outside, you can tie a piece of ribbon or put some kind of sticker on the outside to identify it --- something unique so it will stand out from the crowd and you'll be able to spot it -- and not mistakenly take a bag that looks just like yours but belongs to somebody else. I did that once on a trip to Ireland years ago. I didn't realize the mistake until I got to my uncle's house 2 1/2 hours away from the airport, and opened the bag to find it full of women's frilly things and unmentionables. :-[ I had to catch a bus back to Shannon the next morning to return it and get my own bag, because I didn't have anything to wear but the clothes I'd arrived in!

Razor does make a good point with showing your name, address and phone number to the world. You can buy luggage tags that you have to open up to see the information. Or, you can put your information inside your bag like Razor said and then put another tag on the outside that says "please look in the bag for owner information" so that people know to look in the bag.

how many bikinis does she need. they should fit into a carry-on. ha ha just kidding bud. no offense intended.

Doesnt really matter what I write on my luggage tags, it gets lost everytime I fly.
I think that old jaywalking woman who I nearly ran over a few years ago, that pointed to me ominiously, may have put some sort of curse on me.

I always put my last name and cell number on my (and my wifes) baggage tag.
That way if for some reason there is a problem, with those two pieces of info it can be resolved immediately and no info is given that can be used for anything bad.

Thanks for the advice guys!
Paulie, the bikinis do fit in the carry on >:D Its the stuff she figures on buying that will be in the luggage!
