Amazing..... it actually gave me chills.

it reminds of Opening Day of Little League coming up very soon. Being a coach, I get to stand on the infield with all the teams lined up when the National Anthem is played. Every year as I look out over those 250 kids with their hats over their hearts, I am reminded that they are our future and I may be coaching the next Mantle, or Einstein, or Curie. A great song, in a great country and the future spread out in front of me.... It gives me chills every opening day.

That was awesome,  I still remember watching him on TV when I was a kid.  I really mis guys like him. :'(

I used to get chills EVERY baseball game I ever played in when the anthem was played.

I had a coach bench everyone on the team but 8 players for the first 3 innings because the guys that were benched were messing around during the anthem.  I'll never forget his speech to the team:

"This anthem is played at all the games to remind us that we, as Americans, have the freedom to play this game because of the soldiers that stood up for that freedom.  The least you could do is pay a little respect and SHUT UP and place your hand over your heart when the anthem is played." 

You never heard a peep from our team during the anthem again.

I find the Red Skelton peice funny, not haha, because the one thing he said he wouldn't want to happen has happened with the gov taking the plaedge out of schools because it say under God
