Title: Help with oily skin
Post by: StogieStang on March 06, 2008, 01:17:13 AM
Is there anything I can get for oily skin?  For now I've been washing my face and head at the bathroom sink every few hours at work just using hand soap and paper towels.

Stoogie, I have the same problem and I try to stay away from using soaps on my face and head.  I think that they are counter-productive.  Several times during the day, I just take either plain water or a wet paper towel to clean the excess oil off.

I have the same problem stogie.  I have really oily skin.   Using a BaldGuyz Headwipe can help at work and at home I just do a light wipe with alcohol to reduce the oil.  Helps to keep my pores from clogging up too.

I use Nivea for Men face wash every morning and evening. It works great, gets rid of the oil but doesn't dry out your skin. During the day I will just use a paper towel to wipe off. My skin isn't  that oily during the winter, but once summer comes around, the oil seems to almost run off my head. This stuff does the job.

A wet paper towel DOES do a decent job as already suggested.  For me it's just a losing battle.  I'm permanently oily.  Sometimes I wonder if that is a contributing factor to my MPB.

Yeah, all of these things work. If I don't have a wipe handy, I'll soak a paper towel in hot water.
