Mel-
I'm definetly a Spring Forward guy. I like the long days..... sleep is highly over rated.
-
I like the longer days, but I like the extra hour of sleep we get in the "fall back".
-
I like them both for different reasons. Extra hour of sleep in the fall and longer days in the summer.
It's only standard time now for what, about 3 months. Why don't they just leave it Savings time all year. It doesn't makes sense to me.

same here

I hate DST. An extra hour of sunlight is not a good thing in Texas, especially July through September.
-
Sun, Sun, Sun, Here it Comes.....bring on daylight savings time.....until the globe gets too warm.

This will be the first time we "Spring Forward" There has been a constant fight about Eastern or Central time here. I myself perfer Eastern. Im a busy man in the summer and I enjoy the extra hour of light. Sometimes I wish I lived in Finland. While there in the summer time....the sun never actually ever set. Now thats my kind of Light....lol
So Yes Im ready bring it on....I would give up an extra hour of sleep just to have more light at the end of the day.
-
The extra hour of sleep is the BEST, but on the other hand the spring forward means the lighter nights and longer days and the warm weather is on it's way, so I guess I prefur the longer days to the extra hour in bed! 8)
-
"yeah"
-
I like the fact that I can put my shades on when I leave work!!!! 8)

Without question the later the better for night....dusk at 4:30 blows!!!!
Bring on the 9:00- 9:30pm Northwest sunset ...oh yeah! O0
Dudes... one of the best memories from my travel is stumbling drunk out of the closing English pubs at 11:00 pm with the last bit of sun light leaving on the horizon!!!!
Very cool!!!!! O0

I enjoy the extra hour of light way more! I love nothing more than to come home from work, change clothes and go water my lawn while having a cold one!
-
my question is this: if it only changes 1 hour on the clock, why do we gain about 4 hrs of sun? i do like the longer days btw
-
we dont gain 4 hours of sun.....its always lighter longer during the day in teh summer time anyways. But I do like how it will be semi daylight at 930-10pm. We are an active family in the summer....well winter time too....but I hate coming home from work and its dark. Especially when you leave in the morning its dark too. So you basically dont see any sunlight....I cant wait...cause this will be the first summer for us on Eastern Time.....we are about as far west as eastern can get. WE are still fighting the time zone thing....but i wish the hell they just leave it alone.

When I lived back east, I would love it when it was time to spring forward, it meant the longer days and warmer weather were coming. Though there is a time when you start wanting the cooler fall weather too, usually in the dog days of August.
Being out in AZ now, we don't have to change our clocks, which I'm thankful for. We get plenty of warm sunny days here all year round, so there's no need for it. Comes a point in July and August where the sun just won't go down soon enough, so we definitely don't need any daylight savings here, lol.

Bring on Spring. I like the longer days and getting out to exercise or work in the yard after work.
