Title: Crank
Post by: Nixx on February 27, 2008, 11:56:40 PM
Has anyone seen the movie "Crank" with Jason Statham?  I watched it last night and it seemed like a pretty sly-ish movie. :)  Not the most realistic thing in the world, but who's keepin' score. :)

Only managed to catch parts of it so far. Liked what I saw though. That movie reinforces the fact that Dwight Yoakam needs to go SLY.

I saw it, good flick, lots of action and suspense.

I had the ringtone from that movie for months...

I am pretty much a Statham fan after his work with Guy Ritchie.

Yea, i saw that movie...Loved it, especially the last free falling scene.  but, is Jason Statham even really sly?  I mean, it just seems like he keeps it rather low but not necessarily sly.

Yeah, I haven't ever noticed him completely shaved, but I'm sure he'll get there...  Sitting up on that fence get tiring after a while!  ;D

He is definitely a cool dude... loved the Italian Job.  See it if you haven't... lots of big stars in it.  Haven't seen this movie you're discussing though.

If ever a movie was made to get one's heart pumping, Crank is it. The catch phrase "a thrill a minute" doesn't really go the distance to describe how ridiculously action packed this film is. A thrill every ten to fifteen seconds is more like it.

Crank is everything you could feasibly ask it to be and more. The filmmakers take an iffy premise, work their magic on it, and produce reel after reel of pure adrenaline on film. It packs over the top action in with incredible stunts, clever and biting humor, a decent story and some above average acting. It's one of those films that you'll definitely want to go see with a bunch of the guys. Statham delivers to audiences the only thing he knows how to deliver, and that is pure, distilled ass kicking. That is his job, and he is very, very good at it.  :x!

Statham in Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels and Snatch is possibly the greatest.

Guy Ritchies career and credibility were ruined by the 5 thumbs down stinker "Swept Away" starring his wife Madonna Ritchie.

I agree,Stathams performances in Lock Stock and Snatch are legendary.

Aww c'mon JDog, everyone is entitled to one stinker. Ritches film "Revolver" comes out (finally) on DVD soon... I hope this will redeem him somewhat.

Yeah, he was awesome in those two.  He did The Italian Job a lot of justice too.
