Title: police
Post by: no1birdman on February 26, 2008, 11:35:42 AM
Hi,at least once a month if i drive my car without wearing a hat, i get pulled over. I know my car is a bit flash ie a yellow convertible with wire wheels . The excuses they give for pulling me over are  a laugh. wrong number plate, colour no tax etc, They never book me But if i cover my head no trouble. In england with a shaved head  it is still looked on as  a trouble maker, etc,I usually ask when pulled over if they would drive a car like this if it  was not perfect,Today they have all our car records on computers in there cars so they have no reason to pull u.By the way my car is known as a pussy puller. LOL.

There's still some stereotyping going on here in the States when it comes to police pulling people over.  I have a car that is modified and is loud, so I get pulled over all the time. Once they look at my very clean record they just give me some kind of warning and let me go.

Yup, still some folks that equate a smooth pate to a life of crime!  I get hard looks from cops all the time but no stops yet.  I admit to playing "stare down" with them just to be an a**.  Cracks me up too because I used to be a cop!  :*))

I guess as over the years many people with shaved heads didnt have the best reputation when it came to the law. Unfortunately negative stereotypes can take a long time to go away.

I have had my fair share of experiences(good and bad) with law enforcement both with and without hair, above all I am respectful to them and 99% of the time, the gesture is returned. Reacting with aggression either physical or verbal with a cop is a sure fire way to jail or hefty fine.

Haven't had a discussion with a police officer in a long, long time...nor do I plan to.

I grew up in the city in a super bad area. The city cops ran the full spectrum from super cool to total d**ks. We had a neighborhood cop named Rich who was definetly super cool. On the weekends when his cop buddies were going to come thru, hassle us, and take all our beer, he would come by early in the evening and tell us to lay low and not hang out in our usual places. he also didn't hesitate to give us some good old fashioned lectures if we got too far out of hand.

Never had a pull over by police for anything but infractions on my part.  And since the few I have had were minor ones, those are generally overlooked (I am told by a law enforcement buddy) because of the Marine veteran license plates.

I've done some "curb time" in handcuffs while the cops search the car, then they let me go...... BEING BALD ISN'T A CRIME! But it's so cool, that it should be

One time....on my wifes bday...heading back from Evansville shopping...we were running late on getting the kids picked up from school.  Well this cop going south and I was going north...as he passed our eyes locked...i looked down and i was going 67 in a 50...well he had a long line of traffice behind him and in front of him..with no place to pull off....and I had a long line behind me also...well just up over a hill i knew of a side road...so I took it.........got about a mile or 2 down the road and here he comes flying up behind me.  Pulls me over....Kris was sorta just waking up from a nap....and she was like what the hell you getting pulled over for.  He tells me to step out of the car and takes me back to his car sits me in the front seat.  Starts questioning me why i was trying to out run him.  I was like officer I wasnt out running you.  Oh yes you were he says...Now I wanna know right now why were you out running me...if you want to sit here and lie to me ...we can do this back down at the station....i was like I wasnt out running you.  Once more Mr Bateman....Im not gonna ask again....so you might as well tell me now...what are you hiding.  I wasnt hiding nothing....then he had the nerve to ask me who the passenger was and I said it was my wife. Are you sure its your wife....and I said well it had better be..because im gonna be in more trouble when I get home than what I am in now.  He ended up running a check on my wife to make sure she was who she was and that she didnt have any warrants out for her arrest....He told me that he could take me to jail right now for out running a cop and that he could right me a ticket for endangerment to a police officer.  I asked him on what grounds he had for endangerment.  He said he had to drive at a high rate of speed to catch up with me.  I said well thats only the law of physics..If one person is driving away from you....you would naturally have to speed up to catch up with that person...even if that person wasnt speeding.  He looked at me and said OK WISE ASS I HAVE HAD ABOUT ENOUGH FROM YOU.  HERE IS YOUR TICKET....and as I started to walk back to my car...he said oh hey wait....Here's another one cause you didnt have your seat belt on.  a$$hole....lol
Timmayyy!...

My wife's bday ended up costing me another $165 bucks......
