Oh. I forgot to say, NOT ONE SINGLE CUT! Hahahahaha. I was so happy. I'm 24 yet have never shaved before because I shaved my beard ONCE in high school and it bumped up to sh*t. So I stayed with the trimmer since then. Using teh Headblade and watching some videos on youtube.com where Frank Trigg and other were using Headblade, I quickly emulated and got the technique down pat since I had no old conventional razor habits to break. Oh wait, I lied. There was one cut.....On my mole. Little bastard. My head feels normal too right now, not irrated or anything. So I think I'm not gonna bump up. Either clearhead works wonders or my head has no problem with being shaved....Only my beard does.

Hey, thanks guys. Quick question. Does my head look like its been hit with glossy headlube, matte, or none at all? Just an honest opinion.

Hey, thanks for all the support guys. Yea Timmay, that's with absolutely no headlube on. Yet, to my untrained eyes, it looks like glossy headube is on there. Just like SlyInKC thought. I'm wondering if I even need any headlube......
-
Well if you dont want it that shiney you need to put the matte lotion on it. But I always go for the shiney noggin. What I use is the clear aloe vera lotion. It is always good tofollow up with something. Just keeps the scalp in good condition...just be sure to use some sunblock though when going out.
Looks great my friend...
see ya Timmay!
-
very good son! Looks clean!
-
Outstanding dude.
-
SOK -
That's one naturally shiny noggin'! No need for the glossy!
looks outstanding my friend!
-
just be sure to use some sunblock though when going out.

see ya Timmay!
see Ive always heard that black people don't need any sunblock because of our skin complexion. Is that bullshit? Can anyone provide any evidence to the contrary?

You can probably stay out in the sun a lot longer than someone like me, because you have more melanin in your skin, and thus more natural protection, but I wouldn't say that you don't need sunblock at all. Have you ever been sunburned badly? A lot also depends on where you live and what the climate is like. To play it safe, you should probably use some SPF 15 when you know you're going to be out in the sun for a while.

Nope. Never been sunburned. Although, to be fair, I'm like Wesly Snipes dark so.....
-
SOK-
I grew up in Baltimore City and had a lot of black friends. Many of them swore to me that black folks got sunburned the same as white folks. Many of my black friends were lighter skinned so I don't know if that's the reason why.
You can always ask your doctor........
-
I wouldnt think that i would matter how dark your skin was. The sun is the sun no matter which way you look at it. I wouldnt take the chance. A $5 bottle of sunscreen is gonna way much cheaper than 1 time doctor visit. With you having darker skin...you saying you are less of a chance of getting skin cancer??? Read the following article.....
www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13441328/
I wouldnt chance it....
Timmayy!

I'm jumping in late but welcome and the new scrape looks good on you brother. Keep checkin in with us and join the fun. O0
I would also use some sort of sunblock if your gonna be outside for long periods, it doesn't matter what color your skin is.
-
It looks great SoK!
As for black people not getting sun burned, well, my black brother-in-law is also on the darker side and says that when he gets burned he doesn't show it like white folks, but he can feel it on his skin. I've also read that black people are also prone to skin cancer and are usually have a higher risk of dying because they get it treated later. Here's an article on it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/5219752.stm
Make sure you wear sunscreen if you're going to be in the sun. SPF 15 or higher.
-
Wow. Thanks for all theninfo regarding skin color and cancer guys. I'll be sure to run to Sally's and pick up a bottle of Headblade Sunscreen. I just usually have this aversion to rubbing chemicals into my skin, but I guess this is far too important to pass up.
-
Looks very good!
HeadShade works good and smells fresh.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiice......lookin good and SLYYYYYYYYYYYY

Looks great man! Don't forget sunblock! I'm black, indian, and french, so I don't burn like most white people... most people think i'm hispanic because of my complexion.... but you can get burned, here's a pic of my brother-in-law and I in NH last year. He got burned that day lol. I tease him about sunblock, I said if he gets any darker he's gonna disappear!
