Post by: Beef on February 13, 2008, 10:28:13 PM
has anyone ever noticed a burning or stingy sensation when rubbing there head in certain areas? are most heads sensitive? i find it funny asking this when 765lbs of weights landed on my head and i laughed about it... :*))

does anyone ever experience a slight burning sensation when rubbing your head in certain areas or maybe at a certain frequency?

Sometimes I get irritation ... I'd say that my scalp is more sensitive than my face to what and how I shave it. More like a "rug burn" feeling.

Maybe try something soothing like Aloe. TimmJ had a great suggestion somewhere else on the board to refrigerate the Aloe ... I have to admit that cold Aloe is very soothing.

I get the "rug burn" if I skip a couple of days shaving (i.e. too much stubble gets pulled while shaving), or if I go over and over a spot while shaving.

Beef, I am just wondering if your scalp could be getting really dry. I see your in MD and I am just curious if you have a dry heat running in the house alot. Not sure if your using a moisturizer after the shave but you may want to just test and apply some like every 4 hours or so just to see if it helps. Also a humidifier might help but that could be extreme.
Just tossing some ideas....
