odm....welcome 2 the sly fraternity. glad that ya found us and glad 2 know that the schick razor does the job. in order 2 keep the razor burn 2 a minimum...IMMEDIATELY after headshaving...try doing a cold water rinse, followed by an ice cube rub until it melts, towel (pat dry), and apply tn dickinson's witch hazel, keep on for about 3-5 minutes and apply aloe vera gel (u might want 2 place it in the fridge). i'm sure you'll get more tips but hope this helps ya out. anyways...hope U stick around & B an active member of the best site on the internet.

Welcome to the SBG family odm,
There are alot of great guys on this forum, and we're glad you've joined us. As for the razzor burn question, I don't tend to get the razzor burn on my head, but I certainly do in my face, mainly around my neck. After I joined this forum quite a while ago, I found out about alot of other products out there that I never new about, and got alot of tips in the "Your Shave Routine" thread.
So what I found that realy works for me is, I use a combination of things like: Shave Oil, I apply a little shave oil on my face first and let it soak in a little first (30 secconds or so) then I apply my favorite shave cream ( Head Slick by HeadBlade ) then shave by going with the grain first, then I'll re- apply the shave oil, and the shave cream, and go against the grain, and I'm good to go.
Oh another great tip I learned from this site, is don't shave right after you wake up, wait atleast a half hour or hour if you can, and what I do is take a damp towel and place it in the microwave for about 30 - 45 secconds and place it on my face and head, to help soften the hairs and to open up my poures, before doing any of the above, I do this because I am a sink shaver not a shower shaver. If you are a shower shaver you can skip this step, because the steam from the shower will open your pourse.
Hope this helps.
Tom.

Odm, welcome to Sly Bald Guys!
What type of shaving cream do you use? What's your routine? Answering these questions will help us to determine what might be causing your burn.

welcome odm.

Welcome, odm, greetings from another Quattro user. I also seem to have sensitive skin, especially on my neck. I have recently reverted back to using my Braun electric for face shaving. I seem to get less irritation and redness.

Welcome ODM!!! You'll get a lot of good info from the SLY brothers on this great Forum!

Welcome to the site Odm.

Odm, welcome to the SBG's. You may want to try a cold rinse as suggested by the "hawk", and I would also recommend the witch hazel too. I use it and it really soothes. Follow up your shave with a good moisturizer like Headlube (matte or glossy) or BaldGuyz moisture gel. All work very well and complete the shave.
Let us know how it goes for you. O0

Welcome odm. I can't advise much on the shaving thing. My skin's so tough I could use a grinder and it wouldn't matter much. I just use water, a little soap and a fusion.

thanks for the warm welcome guys :D. after reading several threads on the forum i decided to buy shave secret at my local walmart and so far im loving it .now what i need is a good moisturizer can anyone recomend me a good one ??

I stand and live by the the clear aloe vera gel. I keep it in the fridge so it gives me that nice cool crisp feeling after a hot shower and the ice rub. You can buy this stuff in a big bottle with a pump on it fairly inexpensive. I think I paid 2 bucks for a large bottle.
Welcome to the site. It is our mission to help others out in here and to also make some good friends. This is the B.D.F.S ( Best Damn Forum Site) on the net......you wont find another one liek this that deals in shaving the noggin.
Well good luck with your ventures and hope you find a technique that works best for you. See ya around

Welcome odm.
I prefer the bald guyz moisture gel. Seems to leave my skin smooth most of the day.

Hey ODM, being a SoCal SBG, you should consider something with SPF. I use L'Oreal Comfort Max After Shave Balm with SPF 15. It spreads well, smells good, doesn't leave a slimy feeling, and it feels great. I was using HeadBlade's HeadLube. It was good, but the L'Oreal stuff dwarfs it.
