Had the Cowboys even shown up for that game it would be ok. I think they deserved it honesly. It will keep them humble the  rest of the season.

Hey Rob,
Da Bears, Da Bears, Da Bears. It is hard living in Minnesota and being a DIE HARD Bears fan, but it is oh so sweet!

Johnny, feel your pain... a few years ago I was dating a die hard Packer Fan.  That was kind of rough, especially when I was at her house (in Green Bay) when Da Bears were playing the packers!

I've gotta say that I was pretty tired of Rex over the last 7 games... but he relaxed last night and had a decent game, which is all he needs to do for Da Bears to win.  Put up a couple scores and let the D and Special Teams do the rest!  Can you believe a rookie broke the record for returns in a season???

Something tells me it's going to be a Chargers/Bears Super Bowl this year!!

Funny you mentioned dating a Packer fan, I married one. It was Bears over the Pack opening day, and it will be Bears over the Pack on the 31st.

Rex did look pretty good last night, but Hester was the sh**. I will agree with your Big Dance prediction.

It IS a mortal sin!!  Bears-Packers games are kind of like Cubbies-White Sux games... Think Hatfield-McCoys!!   >:(

Doesn't matter, the San Diego Super Chargers are winning the super bowl.   The bears could win it, if they left rex grossman behind at the team hotel before their playoff games and let Devin Hester play QB.

You mean the biggest collection of morons this side of Matt Millen in the league  ;D.    Uh, no.   My allegiance is to Vince Young and his band of Titans.     The texans are going to get their heads kicked in for a decade while VY has the titans going to the playoffs and wins a super bowl.

They should have hired me as GM.   I told anyone who would listen, and even those who tune me out that VY was the best player in the draft and the Texans should dump carr(duh) and draft the hometown stud in Vince.   But the texans aren't very smart you see.   Thus, Go former houston team in the Titans.  As a rookie, Vince is 6-4 as a starter.

Btw, your Bears have Cedric Benson and Nathan Vasher, fellow horns, so I root for them.   Oh and that Hester guy is pretty good.   I just think grossman might kill their chances in the playoffs, and the chargers are scary good with rivers and LT playing the way they are.  I was just stating my honest opinion on the teams, not whom I support.

One word.....

WRONG.     ;D

We are both biased in this matter, but I stand by my statement.   Vince proved who the best player was on january 4, 2006 in my eyes.  In fact, wasn't reggie on the SIDELINES for 4th and 2 with the game on the line  ;D.     I will contend to this day that while Bush was a worthy heisman choice, Vince was better, and if I was an NFL team stud QB > stud RB/WR.

Oh and I forgot.   Reggie Bush wears 613 eyeblack to SHOW RESPECT FOR HIS PEEPS BACK HOME ;D.   Ah, that never gets old.

My wife is one of those rare woman that encourage me to sit on my butt on Sunday to watch football, because she is right there on the couch too. We sit on opposite ends of the couch two games per season, when the Bears play the Packers. It may be a mortal sin, but I like stirrin' the pot a little.

My wife doesn't enjoy football that much. When she gives me a hard time I say hey, it's only 16, maybe 17 games a season...let me enjoy it while it lasts.

We were just in town on the 1st-3rd. Friends of ours live in Hinsdale and were having a Christmas party. I was wanting to stay for the Bears-MN game, but we had to get back. We were supposed to fly in, but the blizzard cancelled our flight, so we drove.

I was considering the Bears-GB game on the 31st, but we have so much other stuff going on that weekend.

I get to Chicago for business at least 4-6 per year. Ever get to Mpls?

Can't say that I have... most of my business trips are to warm exotic places, like Hawaii, Florida, Puerto Rico, etc.  It's great to get out of the cold and go somewhere warm!

All I care about next week is that Peyton Manning rips the Patriots to shreds.

1) Because I like manning and want him to get to a SB

2)  Tom "I can throw the game ending pick only to have it fumbled and recovered by my teammate giving me a second chance" brady needs to get off my television screen.

Man that game was bizarre and pissed me off.

If the Patriots make it, I won't be too torn... Da Bears will always be #1 in my book, but I also like Brady!  Think about it... he was a 6th round pick in the draft and look what he's done!

Peyton (1st round pick) wins games during the regular season, but Indy always manages to choke in the playoffs.

Why is Brady a jerk?  Because he was a 6th round draft pick and consistently shows up Mr 1st Round Pick Peyton Manning??

"Yeah, it was a fumble", Tom Brady after being asked about his fumble-turned forward pass by the refs on the infamous "Tuck Rule" of the AFC Championship game between the Raiders and the Pats.

Yes, I know the Raiders had numerous chances to put that game away, but his reaction to that post-game interview question (with all reporters laughing their a**es off) showed immaturity beyond compare. Spare me the stats, I know he's a good QB, but let me stew in my hate.

Plus, I hate Chowd' fans. Next to Yankee fans, they are some of the worst in sports.

At that point he was still a relatively new QB (hadn't learned all the cliches yet!) and in my eyes, considering where he started from to where he is now... it's a great story!  Can't hate Brady because of a bad call by the refs or the fan base...  I DETEST the Packers and their fans with the very essence of my being, but Brett Farve is one of the greatest QBs of all time!

I had a feeling you'd come back with the fact he's was rookie. But god, as a Raider fan, you become a conspiracy theorist. That play call was amazing. How about the one this year where the SD WR spun the ball forward after making a catch? He wasn't touched, the Raiders recovered it, and it was ruled an illegal forward pass???? It's amazing sh*t, some of the things I see called against my sorry-a** Raiders.

Hey, I am not taking anything away from he, horse-faced Elway, or anyone else that has beaten up on my Raiders, but I'd like to punch Brady in the mouth. You would think his time spent here at Serra HS (South SF) or at Michigan would have taught him some humility.

Go Colts (this week) or (if need be) Bears next week.

ANYONE BUT NEW ENGLAND!!

Nice come back for Peyton.  Being down 21-3 but not giving up.  Nice.

Going Colts, I'm a huge Tony Dungy fan.

When the oilers left houston I had to find some teams/players I liked a lot.   One was indy with manning and the triplets.   The other was tampa with that D under dungy.

I now get to see both get their chance, and on the Bears, I am a Texas grad, so if they win, Vasher and Benson get rings.

Paul, I don't follow college ball all that much. However, from what I did see of JR, he is all that and a bag of Doritos (cool ranch, of course). As much as I think the Raiders would benefit from trading down for multiple picks, I hope they keep the #1 and take Russell.

Schro, I did know he made himself eligible for the draft but I didn't know where he was going.  So it's Raiders?  I definitely recommend him if you can get him.  He's a big guy and not easily brought down, but he can still run and is not scared to if he has to.

He says he can sit down with his butt on the ground and throw the ball 40 yards.  He's got a strong arm.

We were happy with him at LSU so I think you will be too if that's where he ends up.

dude can feel pressure behind him like a seasoned nfl qb. has a wicked arm. is very accurate. and like clay said, he is big and is not afraid to head upfield and hit someone. i feel like whoever gets him will have one helluva qb. as long as they have a line to help him.

The more shocking thing than rex grossman's crappy play was the bears D sucked by their standards.

At one point indy had 63 offensive plays to 23 for chicago.     The colts got over 150 yards rushing on 30 plus carries.

Granted the bears best offense was devin hester and the fear he later instilled on kickoffs, but the D let manning do a lot of what he wanted as well.

But this game was sloppy.   7 turnovers, twice where we saw back to back turnovers.

Yep... Grossman played like crap, bad decisions... Defense decided that they were going to take the game off... helluva time to do that!

Oh well, the golden child Peyton Manning got his Super Bowl win... and somehow got the MVP as well, even though it should have gone to Rhodes!

I think addai was as deserving as rhodes.    They both killed the bears.   Don't forget addai had 10 rec 66 yards as well.

Manning outside of that first series played solid, but the bears got nothing out of their front four.   Tommie Harris's absence was felt tonight.

Don't get me wrong... Da Bears as a whole have some work to do, but I've been behind Grossman all the way whether it's Good Rex or Bad Rex that shows up.  Of course, Bad Rex frustrates me!!

I look at it as the kid just finished his first full season.... he's been in the league 4 years, but due to injuries, he really was still a rookie this year.

If past history is any indication, then the 07 Bears are going to be angry next season and destroy any team that gets in their way... :x!  (84 team lost the NFC championship, came back in 85... and well, we all know how that turned out!!)

Urlacher is a real down to earth from what I've heard. One of my ex-girlfriends went to high school with him down in Lovington. He still remembers where he came from and owns part of a car dealership down around Lovington. I respect him because after he signed his contract with Da Bears, he bought his step-dad a brand new pickup. From what I understand, his step-dad was very instrumental in his HS football career and his raising.

I was rootin' hard for da Bears yesterday and was sorry they didn't pull it off. I'm an old Florida boy but am far from a Tebow fan. He has always been a big phoney imho...Denver has a good defense and and offensive line that protects him very well. Tebow, is about as lucky as a live rabbit in a kennel full of hound dogs.

Sorry ''Slynito'', but I don't think Tebow is a phoney. He has caught a sh** load of grief for his beliefs and his display of his faith. As a Q.B. he is a work in progress............but also a winner and team leader. His stats are not impressive but he does seem to do enough to win, [ just ask the bears and vikings to name a couple ]. I also look at his college career and he won there as you are aware. All in all he is the main reason the Broncos are still alive.

Got a little sick of his religious proselytizing and seeing Tebow kiss Lying Myer's ass and getting all the credit and ink for the championships. There was a team of exceptional players that won those two titles...I think 9 players from that team went to the pros.

Slynito............... the Q.B. usually gets credit right or wrong whenever a team wins. Since it is probably the most important position in football. Montana,Staubach, Brady, Bradshaw etc etc certainly did not do it alone. I would say that Tebow was a huge part of Florida's success. Even though he had a great team around him, they would not have won without him in my honest opinion.
