hello fellow chrome domes....... there was a good topic posted here on FAVORITE TV SHOWS (by happy harry) and i wanted 2 start one on how many tv shows can we come up with that we used 2 watch that R no longer on primetime tv. ADD only one (only one please) 2 see how many we can come up with & keep going. this could B fun & jog our memories at the same time. NO repeats on the show please. u can also include some of the shows on TVLAND.
i'll start: NEW YORK UNDERCOVER (this was one of my favorite shows in the 90s). so....how 'bout u? what show comes 2 your mind?

I used to love watching "Dougie Howser, MD". I've yet to see the new prime time show that Patrick Harris is on to know if it is any good.
-
The Guardian, CBS. Great show about an Pittsburgh attorney (played by Simon Baker) that had a drug problem that was required to perform community service as a children's rights advocate. A couple of years ago, it was canceled for no real reason, and me & the Lovely Mrs. Schro were not consulted about this!! :Xo!
-
Hill Street Blues
-
One of my favorites was "Beverly Hills, 90210" - watched it from middle school years through college - everybody talked about it when I was in HS
-
DALLAS!
-
St. Elsewhere.
-
Wings

Waltons

Does anyone remember a show that was on in the late 90's called "Mysterious Ways"? I loved that show but haven't found it anywhere in reruns.
-
Mork and Mindy
-
Different Strokes....( for different folks) LOL

I can't believe no one has mentioned MASH or Cheers, two of my all time favorites. Also, The Bob Newhart Show, The Carol Burnett Show, and Spenser for Hire, starring the late Robert Urich. Spenser for Hire never quite caught on, I think due to it being moved to at least 3 different nights of the week. A very cool sly guy, Avery Brooks, was on that show too.

Saved by the Bell

Major Dad-hated this show.
Mamas Family-a corny show but brings back fond memories as a boy of 6 watching this show.

Im right with TimJ. We watch Dallas every night while we eat dinner. So far I have always missed the last episode. It's the weirdest thing, that show is kinda addictive.
Beyond that, I really like Boston Legal with William Shatner. I'm a Star Trek fan, if you know Star Trek, it is interesting to note that each week there is at least one charactor on Boston Legal in addition to William Shatner that was on Star Trek either as a regular or a guest. Last week it was the teacher defense witness.
Then I go to Cooking shows. Diners Drive-In's and Dives just makes my mouth water.
I also watch random reality shows. Now that I think about it, since getting the TiVo I watch entirely too much TV.

I enjoyed "The Commish" which featured the pre-sly Michael Chiklis.

"Dynasty" was a big fave in the 80s. When a tv movie on the making of Dynasty came out last year; my wife and I were sooo excited. While we were humming along with the theme song at the beginning, our daughter, surprised and appalled stated " you guys are pathetic! "
-
I remember that show bro.....but i cant seem to remember the theme song.....would you mind hummming a bar or two for me...lol
-
Firefly...14 episodes of the best sci-fi (or, um, western) ever to hit the tube.

Icky Twerp and the Slam Bang Theater. That was an independent show on in the early 60’s, only on a Dallas Tx. station. They showed the 3 Stooges, Superman with George Reeves and lots of pie in the face stuff.

I loved Judging Amy when it was on...quality tv program that never got its due...
If we're talking cartoons, being a child of the 80's/90's, i'd have to throw out Pound Puppies and Denver the Last Dinosaur :)

That was a cool show. I remember watching it when I was like 8 years old. They sure don't make good kids show like that anymore. This stuff on Nickelodeon and Disney is a bunch @#$%.
