Hey all, I'm new to slybaldguys however I've been shaving my head for about two months now.. About me; I'm 21, enjoy weight training, martial arts, four wheeling, target shooting, and trying to get into dual sport motorcycling!
So heres where I ask for your oppinion:

What do you guys think? It tends to keep annoying people out of my way some.. ::)
My head does have some lumpage but its nothing I can't live with.. My family says I look like the kind of person to break someone else's arm if they look at me wrong...Its flattering but totally untrue :*))
BTW, I'm sure its been mentioned before here by others, but strippers do indeed LOVE bald heads >:D

Its a 1947 (3rd quarter) Gillette Superspeed my grandpa left behind when he passed away.. Nice huh? :)
I use the Braun Freecontrol to touch up during the day.. For a little extra shine I put a thin coat of tattoo goo on my scalp, its GREAT stuff!

It doesnt clog pores and smells good enough to eat! Its kind of thin and isn't at all greasy (think chapstick but thinner). Time will tell how it affects my scalp though.. But so far so good.
Looking forward to spending time here!

Hey I always think a bald head gives such a cooler, edgier vibe...
I say stick with it...looks like you have the 'bald bug", so shaving it smooth is the way to go bro..
hair would probably drive you nuts anyways!
Keep it smooth bro! O0

Looks good to me. I would lose the glasses, though, and get some with thinner frames. The thick plastic frames distract attention from your dome, IMO.
Welcome to the group.

Awww, Razor, THAT'S a "look"...sometimes nerdier and bigger the better..it's intentional....
Remember that's what's great having the younger bald bros around...
a WAY different vibe and perspective! O0

Welcome to the brotherhood, GATMOG.
-
Welcome Gatmog....the look looks great man....i wouldnt change it. Those thick black framed glasses are coming back in style. I have seen alot of guys wearing them. Glad you decided to join up. Post up often and become an active member...

I still say lose them ... but my perspective is probably skewed from having had to wear glasses not much different than that from the age of 4 on. Back in those days there wasn't much to choose from style-wise; specs were meant to be functional only.
No disrespect intended to anyone. I just think the bald dome should be the centerpiece of any sly guy's look, with as few "accessories" as possible to distract from it. JMO. ;)

I think I have to agree with you, Razor. For myself, I could never pull that look off. I have saw some guys that do and do it very well. Just think it's not for me.

Rick.....you need those glasses where the blood shot eyes are dangling from springs LOL>..............

Looks good with this dude's skinned melon...
but agree the specs aren't for everyone! ;)

GATMOG, that's a great intro! I'd say you can go either way with the hair, but either way, I think the glasses are very much you.

Welcome Gatmog!
I like the shaved look, but even better its BBC, so you can change it up anytime!
As far as the glasses, they are cool! You could also grab some contacts and change up every now and then just for fun. You can rock the look either way!

Dude nice DE!! I love DE shaving on my face, just havent got the stones to do it on my head yet!! Nice look on you though!

Welcome here!

Thank you!!!
The D.E. razor actually cut my head less than the triple blader did! I swear, my head looked like my kitchen cutting board when I used the 3 blader :-[
D.E. will however give you some razor burn for a time.. Takes a little getting used to, but surprisingly I get very little razor bumpage with it as opposed to 3 bladers..
I'm not a pro by any means, but as soon as I have the time I'll make a video or a write up on how I do it for anyone who is a little shy when it comes to D.E.'s
-
GATMOG, from one BBC'er to another, welcome to the forum.
-
GATMOG do you shave against the grain with the DE?
-
Welcome Gatmog!
The sly look suits you, roll with it.
I used to use tattoo goo for my tatts but I have found Burts Bees Res-Q Ointment to be much nicer, at least for me.
-
Nick,
yes I do--but you must remember never to add extra weight to the shaver! Its perfectly capable of taking off a line of skin if you allow it to!
I give it 2-3" strokes at a time against the grain with no added pressure and I mind the angle of the blade.. Your skin will have to adjust, so don't be discouraged if it rashes up pretty bad the first time..
Another tip is to get your shaving soap extra fluffy and whip the brush across your head to foam it up real good! Extra hot water on your razor (your blade should feel quite hot on your skin)--it should glide right over your scalp as smooth as glass..
Also don't be shy to ask me questions, I'm no pro but I'll try to help!
