I was talking with a attorney about my experience being selected to go on jury duty but then not getting on a jury (for me, a good thing). He said I didn't get selected beacause I'm a Headshaver. He said that it's very evident from my shadow that I'm a Headshaver and that attorneys don't select Headshavers because they tend to be free and independent thinkers and cannot be easily led around by an attorney's argument. 5t*mp
Has anyone experienced this? Judging by the banter on this site we are a more independent thinking group. The moral of this story is: Don't like jury duty? HeadBlade! O0

Dude, that's awesome! I know we have a few attorneys here. Any of you concur with Ben's attorney?

Now I REALLY want to get called up for jury duty ...
A clergy collar is supposed to be a quick way to get booted, but add to that a bald head ...
I've never been called up, but I'd sure like to see how long I last!

Thats funy. A little over a month ago i was selected to go to jury duty, So i thought if i had a freshly shaven head i would'nt be selected for a case. Man, was i wrong! I was selected for a 3 day case. But to be honest with everyone it was interesting.

Totally cool and totally interesting, man !!!

I totally missed this thread!!!!
That happened to me. :Xo! The pool of potential jurors was about 50, and there were only 10 left when I was called. The case was relatively simple and wasn't going to last more than a couple of days. After I told them who I was and what I did for a living, the prosecutor immediately dismissed me. I was very surprised by this and was bummed given that I truly wanted to serve.
Maybe there is some serious credence to this shaved head/free thinker thing.

I've always found that acting like I have turrets syndrome and yelling
out "DOUCHE BAG" and other offensive words gets me off every time! O0
P.S. I'm just kidding!

A lawyer that makes sense! Can't believe that!
-
OR ya could be on the OTHER side of the coin from FIREMAN and the others ( :popo) , like myself ! be sitting there clean shaven, tattoo'd arms multi ear rings , THEN the prosecution doesnt want you but the defense DOES !"oh he'll fight the establishment, and aquit !" so being sly CAN be a 2 headed coin !

I think being a big old, knuckle dragging shaved, skinhead patrol cop in my uniform has helped me on the stand. I go to court somewhat regularly to testify and usually wear my uniform(unless its federal court then its civilian coat and tie) here in TX most juries respect a clean slick head since the perception is that its military(or law enforcement)
