Since I shaved my head down, I have been trying different looks with facial hair, soul patch, goatie, what I call a 12 o'clock shadow (which is between 5 o'clock shadow and a beard). I tried doing a chin strap sort of look but struggled to keep it straight and even with a razor.
What kind of trimmer would people suggest to get an outline or look like this?

hey thanks warhawk! I see the trick there, applying the shaving cream then outlining with your finer etc. Interesting...I suppose it takes some practice etc.
thanks for the welcome guys!

When i use to rock my chin straps and now my goatee I would put a ruler to where i want to cut and draw a line w/ my wifeys eyebrow pencil. Takes a little bit of time at first but in the long run your line up will be nice. Been doing this method for years and it always comes out good.
