It's getting to be that time of year. I wonder what this years craze toy will be. Tickle me Elmo, Furbies, Bratz, Wii, Robo Sapien, Pokemon....What will soccer moms bludgeon each other over this time cause thier little spoiled booger monsters can't go with out one.
Thankfully my son is still in the "would rather play with the box it came in Phase"

With all the toy recalls there have been in recent months, it doesn't seem like there is going to be much to choose from. :(

Good point. Perhaps this year's craze toy will be the most non-lethal one.

Yeah last year it seemed like more high end tech stuff any way. PS3, wii, and Ipods. Your kids might get Carpal tunnel, but at least they won't crooak from lead poisoning.

my son has strongly expressed his desire for a laptop. he's six. my oldest just wants hunting stuff or clothes.
-
It's all about the electronics and video games these days. Best Buy is where all the hottest Christmas items are being sold now.

Normally the wife and I split our x-mas $$$ 50/50, this year we are gonna pool it together and get a Wii. We had bad luck last year with our 360 and got our money back before X-box extended it's warranty on the famous "red ring of death" Even though I'd prefer the PS3 or PSp, the Wii is the one that has the most games that we would both play......and Jr. Freak will be content with the dang box I'm sure.

My nine year old daughter wants a laptop also. I told her I don't think Santa makes laptops. She's about old enough that she's not believing the Santa business anymore.

Just ran around to six stores trying to find a "Webkin" for my 9 year old niece. It seems to be a new rage among younger girls. They are a variety of stuff animals you can buy that the child can then go on line and design a home for along with a variety of on line activities and such. Finally found one at Hallmark store. Even stuffed animals today have a tie in to computers it seems.

Every one I talked to said the bastard is really fun. I'll wait a few days til they re stock if I have to.

Yeah, seems the Wii is more popular this year than last now that people have played them and it seems to be something the whole family (even Mom) can enjoy.
I would love to get one myself for the Wii Bowling and stuff but I am not going to face off with a soccer mom for it... they get ninja skills at x-mas time.

I remember the wally world beat downs over Tickle me Elmos. One lady almost died from trampling. I'd Take my chances in a Slayer Pit before I subject myself to that.
-
the pit would definately be safer. wal mart moms are just evil
-
We are getting to the age where Wal MArt moms are the Slayer pit chicks...

Ain't that the truth!

don't remind me. :x!

I'll argue on that one. I just seen Slayer in Aug. There weren't many chicks in that pit....well one's that looked like chicks anyways. The few women that were in there slammin around could probably knock out any dude on this site. I've seen alot of brutal gals at other metal shows. But, even for a dude, you better make sure your life insurance payments are up to date when you go to one of thier shows. There's being hardcore, and then there's suicide.
