Got back from hunting tonight...and I think that 3-day growth is gonna need a morning mowing.
Suggestions?
Probably a hot towel to soften up everything for a while.
New blade? Take it slow...do doubt.
Man, I never go more than a day...but for the deer you can't look or smell too purty.
(Not that it helped much... >:( )

sorry to hear that you did not have much luck hunting bro. i was really looking forward to that deer jerky you promised you would send. ha ha just take it slow when scraping the noggin. should be fine.

You can always use some clippers to get it down closer and then use the blade.

You should be fine...when i first started shaving i let it grow back i think about 5 days because i wanted hair back :P but once i did shave it again i didnt have any problem with that shave....just had to wash the blade out a little more each time

Get a good soaking in the shower, then use a fresh blade and just take your time. I've shaved up to a week's worth of stubble without using a clippers first and it was no problem.
When I was going through my back-and-forth shaving and regrowing phase a few years back, I remember going to a barber to get shaved. I had a #1 buzz that had been grown out for a week. I was nervous as hell when the barber smeared some lather through the stubble and then took a straight razor to it. I'd expected him to use the clippers first. I thought my scalp would be in shreds, but he did a great job.

You should be ok with a 3 day growth, just make sure you soften it up a bit first. I've been known to go a week without shaving, but I wreck a Fusion cartridge trying to shave that much growth in one shave. :/O
